So if you’re Brooklyn, you’re hoping the second pick becomes as good as Bridges. If you were Brooklyn would you make that bet?

I think that Miami offer is good if we could actually get it. I'd want to sell Herro for more picks tho.

If those picks are unprotected they could be great in 28 and 30. Would give us a few years to try to build a roster with young studs then have some valuable picks to complete the roster and go for it right as a guy like Sharpe is entering his prime.

I actually think all of those are actually okay in the world where we need to trade Dame if for no other reason than I think a lot of Blazers fans would be disappointed with the return we'd actually get from Dame. The Denver one is appealing if you want to reset and try to compete right away (no way Denver does that trade though unless Porter gets catastrophically hurt again). The NOP returns Daniels and four first rounders, which isn't awful, and the Blazers would certainly try to flip McCollum for an additional minor asset if needed. The Miami one returns Herro, Jovic, and four more first rounders.

We aren't at the trade Dame point yet anyway, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the type of return we'd actually be looking at.

Unless you dislike Dame, then i'm sure you'd accept a bag of end of 1st rounders and future seconds.
If this Scoot is as good as many are saying, then YES! This is New York, not small market USA. They want splashy. New York is also a very impatient place.

The idea is to build a roster that would be positioned to actually contend by that point. But hey if you can see the future how bout tossing next weeks lotto numbers my way while you're at.

I just think he might be more attainable considering their underachievement this year and recent roster conflicts.

Brooklyn is a mess though aren't they? How many firsts to make it work?

I'd make a run at Brown. If we end up with anything other than the first pick, I'd see if Simons/pick is enough to get Brown. (it won't let me add this pick yet)

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Brown
    Grant
    Nurk

I'd also like to get rid of Nurk but I'm not sure who I'd go after. Maybe Claxton? Nurk and NYK pick with maybe a bunch of seconds?

I like those ideas, but sadly, Brooklyn would never go for that trade... they really like Claxton, so you'll need to overpay. And my guess is even Simons paired with the 2nd pick may not be enough to sway Boston (who'd need Brown to ask out first).

They have splashy already in Bridges. Trading a 6’6” budding star for a 6’2” guard that can’t shoot doesn’t sound like a good idea

I don't like the Denver one.
IMO, the Pelicans trade is the best. I don't want CJ back here - but I would try and flip him to a 3rd team (Orlando?) for additional assets.

Yeah... hard to say on Brown. I'm not sure how sour that relationship has gotten.

Realistically, I have to see where our pick lands and who flames out in the playoffs.

If the Sixers don't make it past the second round I think Harden will possibly walk and that could make Embiid available for the right package, it might take a third team because I don't think Ant and Maxim are the most complementary of pieces.

I think if the Celtics don't make it past the second round that they will likely be trading Brown and they might have to trade Brown anyway if he tells them he isn't enthusiastic to re-sign after next season.

I also think that if the Heat get tossed in the first round they will be open for business and the right package could bring back Bam if we would take on Duncan Robinson with him.

Those are the guys who would be the best fit for us and are the highest level I can see us getting with my limited imagination.
