Yeah, this would be a pretty awesome deal.

It seems like there are three third-options. I guess the question is what we have in Sharpe. If he turns into a good second option that plays good defense that lineup seems like it would have everything other than rebounding. I guess the ball handling is pretty reliant on Bam as well as a secondary playmaker. Maybe that's OK having Trendon as well, but we would desperately need a guard playmaker off the bench.

I think that lineup would be "adequate" rebounding-wise, but yeah not elite. I think SS, OG, and Bam can all be decent for their position. But as you alluded to, we really need a 3rd ballhandler on the court at all times....which is why I tend to like Trendon more than others. He gives us the flexibility of playing an SF who might be better at other things.....vs being a solid playmaker for others.

Nurk/ Johnson for Christian Wood (UFA) in a sign and trade. Nurk gets to go hang out with Luka ( Fellow countryman ). The under utilized (By Kidd ) Wood , gets a new start , and starters minutes, in PDX.

I like the effort, but as I recall, the Raptors wanted like 3 1st and a young talent for OG. While that asking price is too high, 1 first and a bad contract for OG is too low, so that kills the deal.

That was yesterday. I doubt anyone is sending 3 1st for OG. He's a nice role guy, but not a star. Ujiri might be able to get a 1st and a 2nd. OG's year was meh.

And today, I doubt Toronto is giving up OG for 1 first and a bad contract.

If we get #2 and we go Scoot, I'm going to see if Toronto, Boston, OKC, or Washington want to make a big offer for Dame.

    Raptors
    Scottie Barnes

    Boston
    Jaylen Brown

    OKC
    Young players and picks

    Washington
high lotto pick - not a lot of young guys though.

Well, then they will live with their 3 forward lineup.

A top five pick has a pretty different value than three future firsts from a good team, right?

Not sure OG is worth a top 5 pick, unless you're sending fodder along with it to make the cap work. I'd rather try getting Bridges for Ant / # 2 pick, or Ant/multiple lower 1st round picks. Of course if we luck out and get Wemby, you can go Ant /multiple picks to acquire a nice starter as well. Best case.

I would love it if Poeltl declined to re-sign with Toronto. Nurk might look a little better to them

Well he really took off when he went to Brooklyn on the offense but he knows for his defense. Hell it be great if Portland pull off something like but I don't see it. He would be 2nd best player on Portland team if he came here.

Just as long as it is not like the big swing that Minnesota took last summer. That was a disaster of epic proportions.

I don’t think anyone outside of Dame or maybe Sharpe carries any real trade value.

unfortunately that's true and I think it was true at last season's trade deadline. The architect of the Blazer roster for nearly a decade had his head up his ass, but was allowed to keep fucking up, year after year. And while Cronin did the necessary tear-down of the team 14 months ago, he hasn't added any value to the roster other than Sharpe
