Politicians all have special considerations, if we understand that its no big deal and there are bigger fish to fry.
I'm not even a fan of Newsom but he's pretty much better than the rest of the governors in the country by a wide margin. A recall is really stupid.
Better at what? Slicking his hair back? There are more Californians leaving California than there are total people in entire other states. Not a good sign. BUT, even if we don’t agree on who’s better or worse, I will throw out this caveat for your consideration… Perhaps the people of California are at the forefront of a national trend, one focusing on accountability, and telling elected officials to go pack their shit if they aren’t doing their jobs, even in the states you think more poorly governed than California.
Nothing, really. The population has always been relatively stagnant due to factors completely unrelated to governance. There hasn’t been many mass exodus’s or recalls, that I can recall. Why aren’t their more people living in Antarctica? Because the mayor is a dickhead?
Seems like if greater population is the sign of good governance, which is what you are implying, then your government has utterly failed. It's had many, many opportunities for growth over the years. Why isn't WY an attractive place for more people to move to? It's not entirely due to things outside of government control, like weather and landscape. barfo
That is not what he is implying. He's implying a mass exodus of Californians is a sign of bad governance in California.
California has also gone to absolute shit under Newsom. $5 gas, 13% state income tax, crime and homelessness out of control, rampant unemployment fraud, all while he dines at the French Laundry with his wealthy donors and laughs at everyone locked down.
No, that's what he's saying. What his statement implies is that population is correlated with governmental quality. barfo
