You know just cause one game does something doesn't mean it exclusively owns that kind of game. Button pressing combos and kills has been seen in many games in the PS3 era, not just Dantes. God of War did it first I believe, but that does not mean that noone else can do it. That is like saying, the first person who thought up using slow-mo fighting in a game is the only person allowed to do it. Examples of games who have done button mashing kills or fighting for PS3: Uncharted and Star Wars: Force Unleashed are two that I own, that do this. And the poem is a classic poem, don't tell me that it doesn't take creativity to visualize a poem from an era that was very lacking in visual effects to tell a tale. They took a story and visualized it for an audience. With your line of reasoning of why it lacks creativity to use the Divine Comedy, I can say that God of War copies alot of Greek mythology as well, which is older than the Divine Comedy. And don't even disrespect the creators and design people by saying they just crudely through vulgar and perverted images there just to do it. Go watch Developer's Diaries, go read the damn poem. These people have inspirations for their work, a work they love and put hard work to, and to ridicule it to that kind of base is just flat disrespectful. Your ignorance is just depressing. I play games for the story. To be captivated by a story, the environment, the personalities, and everything surrounding those aspects of a game. It's like when I read, its to transport myself into another world. The saddest thing about this, is that I own God of War, and I didn't even mind, because it is two different worlds, stories, and characters. Get the fuck over it.
After racing through Dragon Age, AC2, L4D2 and ME2 I'm kind of in a rut. Need something new. I know new DLC is coming out for Dragon Age but I don't really care to buy it. Metro 2033 looks interesting.
I just rented Darksiders. I'm hoping the game is good. God, I need it to be April so I can get Splinter Cell: Conviction. I just watched the new trailer on IGN...the game looks like it could compete with ME2 for GOTY. That, Fallout: New Vegas and Alan Wake are going to be the only 360 competition. God Of War 3 will obviously be there for the PS3, and I'm hoping I have a PS3 to play that. But yea...if you haven't seen it yet, I would recommend checking out the new Conviction trailer. Looks so good, April can't come soon enough.
That thing that doesn't break. @DynastYWarrioR6: It still copies God of War in many ways, and you know it.
