Video games >>>> food. And on a sidenote, I wouldn't recommend Darksiders. It gets boring pretty quick. Imagine a bastard child of God Of War and Legend of Zelda, and only about 1/10 as good as both of those games. It's ok, but it just gets old too quickly for me to ever buy.
I'd be stoked if I didn't sell the game. I hadn't played it in forever and I don't think DLC would have made me want to play it again.
MLB 2K10 is better this year, but still ain't got shit on The Show! Should get a ps3, Moo! My brother is getting Battlefield for Xbox, I'll definitely play it. The demo was fun as shit and I read the single player is supposed to be extremely improved.
MLB 2K10 is pretty good this year, far better than last. The improvements to the pitching game make that much, much better, because you always get the pitch you want. The game also runs smoother, and despite what reviews have said, I don't think think the game looks worse than last year because of the improved frame rate. And Battlefield is a blast. Soooooo much better than COD to play online.
Battlefield is great but I have a few things I dislike about it. First, at least since I'm playing the 360, it randomly goes to the dashboard while I'm trying to go to a game. No idea what the hell the issue is, but it's happened about 4 or 5 times. Second, I HATE that you can't leave a lobby after a match. You have to wait for the next one to start before you can leave, which is so stupid. I also miss the kill cam from COD (which is about the only thing I liked about that game, lol). Other than those though, the game is great. On a side note - does anyone understand what the hell the "Squad Score" or "Skill Level" are on leaderboards? Because I have no idea what to do effect either of those categories. Not that I care, I'm just curious.
So, I figured I'd revive this thread. Firstly, I finally got a PS3 and have already beaten God of War 3. It's amazing. And if anyone here wants my tag for PSN, let me know. Secondly, Splinter Cell: Conviction is awesome...now that it works. Fucking Ubisoft fucked up yesterday and the patch they released fucked up the game, causing it to freeze within about 25 minutes every single time at the exact same spot. Thankfully they fixed that and I was able to actually play it, and man is it fun. I'm glad Ubi went this route for Splinter Cell, because it could end up being the best in the series. The online coop is also really fun, though I haven't gotten to dig that far in to it at this time. Also, I recently reserved Red Dead Redemption and Mario Galaxy 2, and will be reserving Alpha Protocol here soon too. It's going to be an expensive summer for games.
Haven't bought a game for a while... last one was ME2... and I'm not seeing much out there until XMas. Starting to get anxious to play something new. Conviction looks good but the campaign is really short. I want something I can buy and keep for a while. Sounds more like a rental. The GOW3 trailer was nice but the game isn't out for another year. Almost at the end of the Xbox life cycle. I was hoping Metro 2033 would be good but the reviews of it paint it as being pretty bland. Here's to hoping Alan Wake is decent.
Conviction actually feels like a game I'm going to replay at least once. And depending how much you play online, the game could have a ton of replay value too because coop is an absolute blast. I would recommend looking in to Red Dead Redemption. I wasn't all that enthused by the game initially, but it actually does look really good and looks like it'll be a serious GOTY contender when all is said and done. Another game you'll probably be interested in is Alpha Protocol. It comes out June 1st and looks like Mass Effect meets Bourne Identity. To say the least, it looks damn good and I'd certainly recommend looking in to it.
I got Splinter Cell: Conviction from Amazon.com for $26.00 after applying a $20 credit and a $5 off coupon I had. Ended splitting that cost with my brother, so I got it for $13.00 out of pocket! Should be here soon :] Can't wait for Red Dead. It looks fucking amazing.
