Recent purchases/pre-orders

To each their own. I actually really enjoyed the direction they took the game this time. The cover system is basically the best in any game ever, and how they showed when you were visible and not worked a whole hell of a lot better than a meter. And to me, the action was great and kept the story moving along at a nice clip, preventing me from getting sick of the game.

Just purchased Grid, Dirt 1 and 2, and Toca Racer in a Steam package yesterday. Loving Grid so far.

I just finished off Heavy Rain. Absolutely fantastic. If you own a PS3 I'd definitely recommend it. If you can make it through the first hour or so of the game, it becomes hard to put down. It's probably the 2nd best game I've played so far this year, right behind Mass Effect 2, and the story is one of the best told in video games. Movie writers should take a few notes from the people that put wrote that game, because the story was just fantastic.

I felt like making Shelby the killer was a cop out. No killer would go and investigate his own murders in such a way.

He was investigating the copycat murder and also collecting evidence that could be used against him. It makes sense from that perspective, although there are some plot holes with Ethan (guy took care of that drug dealer, and schizo episodes at night were too perfect/confusing).

 

Well, I'll have to disagree with you because I thought it was pretty brilliant. And he wasn't necessarily investigating his own murders, moreso as trying to get rid of the evidence he left behind so the Jayden and the cops didn't find him during the investigation.

Plus, it was far better than making someone like Ethan the killer.

 

I played the Heavy Rain demo and it is indeed awesome. There is supposedly a million endings?

I would probably buy the game if it has actual legit gameplay. (Using guns, fighting (not in cut-scenes), ect)

 

Yea, if you're looking for "typical" gameplay, then just stay away. However, it has legit gameplay, it's just an incredibly unique form of it.

And I believe there's only 28 endings. Only 28.

 

Just picked up Fifa World Cup 2010. Anyone hear anything about Skate 3?

 

I rented it. It's pretty good, you just have to get used to the control scheme.

 

I feel like it's a big improvement over Fifa 10 which also had a good system.
