A One of my favorite songs from the 90's. I loved this song and I really like Incubus. For some reason this song reminds of Coldplay, I guess it's just a similar sound (not the vocals, just the instrumentals and mood). Youtube
B- It's a good song, but I've heard it way too many times. I like Run DMC a lot. You know, I just went back through the thread and looked at all the Chili's I've posted. It's been a lot...but wtf is wrong with me? How the hell did I not post arguably their most popular song? Invalid Video Link
Holy ****, I love Higher Ground. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I've loved this song forever, one of my favorite Chili Pepper songs. Me and my friend were listening to this in the car the other day and I immediately looked for it on Myspace to add it when I got home but it wasn't on there. Anyways, this is an awesome song and I listen to this a lot. Wasn't this was really there breakthrough song (although, it was a remake right?) Also, I never noticed this but doesn't the beginning of that song sound like the Seinfeld music? Youtube
B I like it. You can hear it almost everywhere, but it's still catchy after listening to it all of these times. Sound quality is not as sharp as it should be, but I'm curious to hear your opinions on the Arctic Monkeys and their new album. Arctic Monkeys - This House is a Circus Invalid Video Link
I'll skip that for someone who may like them, I personally think the Arctic Monkeys are typical of their genre that has been made up to look good. I still have yet to hear anything inspiring or unique from them. As for Blur, I'm curious to know if that is the only song you know from them, Swish?

They first hit the charts with Knock Me Down, and then a few songs like Higher Ground broke through the bottom end of the charts after that, but the first song of their that really became a nation-wide hit was Give it Away. As for Blur, Coffee and TV > * Artic Monkeys - B+ I actually like what I've heard from them so far, but they're definitely overrated. The way their fans act, you'd think they were the Beatles. It sort of adds a pretentious overtone to their music. New Song: (Sorry, no Youtube videos for it.) Santo & Johnny - Sleep Walk http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=118877932
I definitely agree VC, Arctic Monkeys are nice to listen to, but nothing else. I don't really see what makes their fans consider them so great and set them apart from other bands out there. Well, most of their fans are teeny-bop school girls anyway. Still, I enjoy listening to them but you kind of cringe everytime you see a die-hard Monkeys fan.

A There wasn't a single thing wrong with that. It was a beautiful instrumental. Very climatic. I'll let somebody else post a song, I'm about to run out the door.

Incubus - Megalomaniac - B- Incubus have some good tracks. Most of my favorites being on their first two albums actually. This song had a nice guitar riff to it which really settled it and got me into it. Made me forget about the verse-chorus-repeat-drop-repeat that most media bands/artists do these days. The bass is poor in some parts where you're supposed to focus on that instrument. Well, I won't knock it really because I'm a bassist at heart and just tough on those things at times especially when people use a pick to play it. I'm definitely not a fan of Boyd's vocals either because he sounds similar to many singers I know of, but he isn't bad so don't get me wrong. I haven't heard this one from them before even though it is a bit old now so I decided to give it a go. Not disappointing, I like it, and above average for this type of song so thanks for the recommendation. Next song is from Doves - Snowden Original version: Invalid Video Link Altered version: Invalid Video Link I haven't heard them in a while so I figured I'd put one up. These guys are always down to Earth and mellow but they get you going. Great people. There are two versions of the video so take your pick or watch both if you find the song as infectious as I do. What I love most about Doves is that their music brings up emotions often or makes you think about certain things that may not even relate to the video depending on how deep you are and the mood you're currently in. Mamba, I remember you loved their last video I posted.
<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Doves - Snowden</div> C It was ok, the singers voice got to me, it was a bit dry and lacked any feeling but he's British. The only thing I really liked was the bass, very good undertones. Overall a decent song, but lacking any arrangement. Apocalyptica - Until It Sleeps Invalid Video Link
A+ Hahahaha, I was not expecting that. When I read "until it sleeps," I expected a crappy nu-metal cover of the song. That was damn good though. I love to hear classical musicians interpret rock songs. New Song: (From around where you live, Sasha...) Kings of Leon - The Bucket Invalid Video Link
A- At first I thought Kings of Leon were some old 70s band judging by the video and sound quality, but they actually formed in 2000 (according to wiki anyway). I liked the song, I might actually look at some other songs by them. Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home You might have to turn it up. Invalid Video Link
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home</div> A I absolutely love that song. It's been about two years since since it's been out but I play it to this day as if it just came out. I saw them live in Atlanta when I went to see Dredg, and they put on an awesome show. I don't like much of their music, aside from that song but they are very energetic and lively at their shows. Good pick. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting VC:</div><div class="quote_post">Hahahaha, I was not expecting that. When I read "until it sleeps," I expected a crappy nu-metal cover of the song. They're one of my favorites now. A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras (Acoustic) Invalid Video Link
