I like the Foo Fighters, but recently they've been trash. Dave Grohl lost his voice, and now all he does is scream, and their songs have become simpler. They've always been simple, power-chord based songs, but their new material is particularly basic. The quality on this live performance isn't that great either. The sound is muttered.

Great rock music, something to work out to. I can definitely see how they inspired a lot of today's rock bands.

This song reminds me of summer, it's not great by any means, but it's one of those memory songs.

I like this song, but it's really overplayed and overrated. I can see how it'd be a nice summer song, the kind of song that comes on the radio while you're at the pool or something, but not the kind of song that I'd put on my playlist. The hook is just too cheesy and the song just sorta drags on.

Horray for nudity! Trippy video, kinda; actually more like something to give you a headache or a seizure. The song is good, but definitely not their best work. I love the Flaming Lips though. I donno what else to say really except that they usually always have a good vibe going.

New song is from Sigur R?s - N? batter?

Check it, VC. Sure you'd like to see them live. This song was used in that show 24. I also found out some other unique information. Artists/bands that are big followers of Sigur R?s include Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bush, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, CKY, Radiohead, Silverchair, Brand New and Elbow.

I found that to be somewhat boring, no offense. I usually love your rec's, but I wasn't feeling this one at all. It was just too slow,

That's awesome that they've influences some of my favorite bands...as well as VC's, I would've never known that.

More anime ****. I've been listening to Staind a lot today, am hyped they're going back to record in November and they're working on new material right now.

A lot of Staind's songs sound the same to me. Well, actually, a lot of nu-metal sounds the same to me. A few of their hits are great songs, but the rest are just too similar and generic for me. Oh, and the video was pretty lame too. Youtube sucks these days. It's all japanese anime for videos.

It doesn't bother me dude. I understand your point of view. When you get older though, your tastes will change. At your age I didn't like them much either. Eventually, you understand the point of the music. We're all strange like that.

Influences or influenced? Just asking in case you made a spelling error as I meant that those bands and artists are fans of Sigur R?s. Interesting bit.

Ok, like it wasn't bad and I liked the music and the whistling, but I had no clue what the song was about or anything. The singer seemed happy, though.

I really don't understand the hate for Incubus on this board. They're one of the top bands out there today. Brandon Boyd's vocals >>> *, and I've seen them live and can atest to the fact that they're just like they are on the albums. He's got an amazing voice, and their bass lines are always super funky. They've taken sort of a nose dive with their last album, but their overall body of work is still amazing. I'm jealous that you're getting to go see them soon, Mamba.

One of the best jams I've seen. Love all 10 minutes of it, love when it picks up about 5 or so minutes into the. The chick is amazing, the ending is amazing.

They seem like a Tool ripoff, and they've only got about two songs I like, but this video is pretty cool and it's not Asian. The singer's voice sounds much better live, too.

The way you described these guys to me, I thought I wouldn't like them. I don't like breakdown at the 3:20 mark or so though. And a lot of the parts seemed angsty. Overall it was a cool song though.

They're starting to go to **** without Dirk Lance in the band, but when he was still with them they were amazing. Dirk Lance is one of the ten greatest bassists I've ever heard, maybe even top five. He's ridiculously underrated.

Incubus has taken a nosedive with their last three albums. I'm the one that doesn't get the hype. Just because they appear a little bohemian, everyone jumps on their nuts. I still enjoy S.C.I.E.N.C.E. like no other.

Love these guys, grew up listening to them. I'm thinking about going to see them in concert in August, but the tickets are kind of hefty.

That's insulting to anyone who likes the band. That's like me saying, "everyone just likes Tool because they portray this heavy esoteric image which social outcasts buy into feeling spurned by mainstream society." It doesn't work that way. The people who like music for the image it portrays will always be out there, but those people do not listen to the music, they just use the band's brand name to further their own image. No one in here is like that. We're all fans of music, and when it comes to their sound, Incubus has one of the most unique, experimental sounds to their music of any band out there, and anyone who would refute that simply hasn't listened to Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

True, their most recent albums have been mostly garbage with a few good tracks here and there, but I wouldn't go as far saying their last three have been trash, because Morning View is probably some of their best work. It's commercial and mainstream, and I can understand the criticisms from those who dislike the 'softer' sound they had on the album, but overall, it's still the same Incubus from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. with Dirk Lance playing some of the funkiest basslines since Parliament Funkadelic.

Now, since Dirk Lance left the band, I agree with your sentiment, sans a few good tracks here and there, but I wouldn't lump Morning View into the same category as the music they've been putting out lately.

    Djobi Djoba - A-

These guys have always been my favorite Spanish rock band (stylistically speaking - I know they're from France). This song, in particular, has always been a favorite of mine as well. It's really romantic, but the sound quality on the version you posted is poor, so it takes away from the romanticism of it. Shapecity is actually into these guys. He recommended them to me a long time ago.

I've never really listened to Incubus yet, but I liked this song. The bass in the intro was real nice and the dude's got a great voice. Real enjoyable soft song. Thought it was a bit short though, and the ending was too abrupt.
