Never really heard the song before, but it felt light and fun and I liked how it picked up over time. The random stops were kinda cool. These are two separate songs, but you gotta listen to them together because they flow into each other. Jimi Hendrix Experience - "1983 (A Merman I Should Turn to Be)" & "Moon, Turn the Tides... I saw somebody post a song be a friend near the start of this thread, so I'll throw a song from my stepfather out there for people to listen to. It was recorded in his bedroom and the only real instrument is the guitar. I'm sure it could be even better with real people playing real instruments, but he did what he could with what he had available and I still think it turned out great. No video, but I like to think that this thread is more about the music anyway.
B I really like Jimi, the first song has always been a bit too long for my liking. I like both songs though. Wilco "Jesus, Etc" - B+ The bass line is relaxing and the violin is an added plus to the track. The video itself is decent. One of my favorite tracks from any band or artist. They shouldn't have shortened the track though.
Super Bump! Let's Revive this bitch Laze & Royal - "Marilyn Monroe"
Hey! Remember this thread?!? C+ I liked the acoustic guitar and the chorus, but the lyricist wasn't great. His rhymes weren't particularly clever or deep, and that other dude's interjections into the chorus were annoying. This song's been in my head ever since I saw the Left 4 Dead 2 commercial. I'm getting more and more into that bluesy vibe. Clutch - Electric Worryhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab6lr2b66Ig
A- I loved the guitar & harmonica in that song. After seeing the L4D2 commercial, I've been wanting to look up what that song was but now I know. The lyrics are awesome in the song also, definitely a song I can sing while driving around Here's one of my favorites off of Wolfmother's new album. I first heard it on Fuel TV, which I love the live performance of the guitar but the lyrics sound really fuzzy, so here is the CD version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQK8_1lCi3o"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQK8_1lCi3o
