The New York Post is reporting that the Boston Red Sox have been fined an undisclosed amount for violating the electronics in the dugout rule. Joel Sherman, the Post's national baseball columnist, said the money will be sent to hurricane relief. He said Major League Baseball did not find sufficient evidence to support Boston's claim that the New York Yankees had used Yes Network to gain a competitive advantage. Sherman said MLB went easy on the Red Sox because the front office was unaware of the violation.
