    I still think you guys are misunderstanding the analogy. This isn't about taxes in general, its about taxes going to programs that puts that money in the hands of others, ie welfair, healthcare, etc. The analogy merely uses gpa as a currency that's taxed and given to other students that have a lower gpa.
