The Orlando Magic sold out TD Waterhouse Centre for a summer-league game -- and it's a good bet most of those 15,000-plus fans didn't show up to see Reece Gaines.

After Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Gaines fielded a few questions about his first game as an NBA player before the media peppered him with queries about LeBron James</div>

Gaines' performance in the first three games has been mixed. Against Cleveland on Tuesday, he went 5-for-9 from the floor, scored 16 points and recorded five assists in 32 minutes in a 107-80 loss. He also committed two fouls in the first 30 seconds.

Thursday, he had 13 points and four assists in 27 minutes in an 86-84 defeat against Milwaukee.

Wednesday was his worst showing -- a 1-for-5 outing with six points, two assists and four personal fouls in 23 minutes in an 81-65 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

These are, after all, just summer-league games, though, and the competition can be unpredictable.

"He's going to play the point guard spot at this level in the NBA," Magic assistant Mark Hughes said. "They said it looked like he was pressing a little bit, and of course, he is. He wants to show everyone he's a point guard."</div>

Bogans is leading the Magic in scoring, averaging 19.7 points in three games. Second-round draft pick Zaza Pachulia and free agent Britton Johnsen are next with 12 points each.

Gaines follows with 11.7 points and 11 assists. And 12 turnovers.

those are some orlando magic stats for the summer league.
