I really wanted Sessions. That had more to do with the fact he was a point guard not named Blake then it did with Ramon's abilities. Pretty much I wanted anyone but Blake. Miller was a better option then Sessions so I am glad that worked out to some degree.
It's good value because he's still only 23 years old. The Blazers repeatedly paid $3m to acquire late first round picks, and Sessions is a better prospect than any late first-rounder. It might turn out that $17m over four years was too much for what he produces, but I think that it was a relatively low-risk move with potentially high reward. That's a good value to me. Ed O.
