The Bulls’ five-game losing streak is their longest of the season. They will look to prevent their first six-game losing skid since dropping 10 in a row from Feb. 27 to March 19, 2010. Over the last three games, opponents are scoring 22.0 points off of an average of 18.3 Bulls total turnovers. Chicago only managed nine points in the first quarter of the game in Boston last night. That is the smallest point total in a quarter by the Bulls since Dec. 7, 2013, vs. Detroit (9). The franchise low for scoring in a quarter is eight points. There were only 13 free throw attempts taken between both teams in the Celtics game on Monday – with Chicago going 7-of-9 from the stripe and Boston 4-of-4. Only two Bulls opponents in team history have attempted four or fewer free throws in a game: the Celtics yesterday, and the Golden State Warriors on March 6, 1977. The Bulls have made fewer than 10 free throws in three consecutive games, which ties for the second-longest such streak in team history. The longest streak of games without making at least 10 free throws is five, set in March of 1973. Chicago’s seven foul shots at Boston was the eighth time this year the Bulls failed to make 10 free throws, and they are 1-7 in those games. The Bulls haven’t had nine games with fewer than 10 free throws in a season since 2013-14.
