I just watched a documentary on religion - religion is the cause for these wars.

So I present this quote to the forum:

"O ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers .... and let them find harshness in you." Koran, Repentance: 123

The Christian bible also promotes murder.

    Deuteronomy 21:18-21

"If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death."

Ahh, what kind of world would we be living in if we didn't have religion?

Look, I'm all for saying the bible's bloody in parts, but the one you quoted isn't murder, it's punishment for direct violation of one of the Ten Commandments.

perhaps these punishments kept people in line from committing more of these evil acts. But we don't have a control group so we can only guess.
