It really would be comparative pennies, so I imagine the reason would more likely be that they just aren't that keen on (a) the Blazers or (b) this whole bubble deal.I just hope we aren't passing on signing to save a couple bucks.

According to Ian Begley, several teams are also interested in Lance Thomas. Career 38% three point shooter. Good size at 6’8 240 (7’3” wingspan.) I remember him being a decent 3&D guy back in the day but haven’t heard anything about him lately. Might be a decent replacement for Ariza.
Wow! He doesn’t look too bad. Him or Justin Anderson would be such a Neil Olshey type pick up too. An underrated guy who play better than they usually do once they arrive here
Well, Justin Anderson is gone. The good news? Buyers market.
Are the Blazers waiting on the Lakers? What's up?
It’s probably no different than the trade deadline. When you have a deadline, teams will usually wait until the last day. Probably even more true when there are only three teams with open spots. There’s also the possibility teams were waiting to see if anyone got waived that might’ve interested them. And players can still opt out of Orlando before Wednesday, so there’s that to consider as well. I’d be surprised if either the lakers or the blazers didn’t sign replacements. Phoenix is a little different because they don’t have to replace anyone.
Suns have to replace Kelly Oubre Jr
nice pick up.Cleveland signed Jordan Bell to a 2 year deal
This leaves just Portland with an opening. Phoenix too but they won’t sign anyone the blazers would/should be interested in.
I think it’ll be Lance Thomas, but I’m hoping for Gerald or Crabbe. Not signing anyone would be surprising, but I wouldn’t be against more minutes for Trent and Nas either.
I thought E.T. can help. We need more depth at the 3 with Ariza out. E.T. can bring up the ball and play defense. He can switch 1-4 on defense. Minimum deal for the rest of the season. Win/win for us and him get to showcase to the rest of the league for his next contract. But he is a smart man, so he might not want to go risk it at Orlando.
I believe he is unrestricted in 2020.he’s not a free agent.
I believe he is unrestricted in 2020.
we’re talking about the bubble though.
he’s not a free agent.
Is defense prized in the G-League?He can barely hack it in the g league, I doubt anyone is interested in him.
My thoughts is that olshey properly will stand fast and not sign any additional players. I am not saying it's the right decision but just my thoughts.
Every team is trying to shave salary now....they might not sign anyoneThat doesn't make sense. If someone gets covid we won't h as ve enough players. Signing two players to replace Ariza and fill the last spot does count against us in the tax. It makes sense to fill those spots.
Your right it does make sense but I am not confident enough in olshey to do the right thing by picking up one to two players that can help us to get over the hump. Maybe he will but he hasn't pull that lever to do so yet. That doesn't make sense. If someone gets covid we won't h as ve enough players.
