If Trump really is advocating for single-payer, British NHS-style health coverage (which, if he is, why are we even calling it "insurance", but anyway) then that would be AMAZING. It makes perfect sense for him, because he can turn around and say "Obama's signature achievement was this half-assed Frankenstein's monster bill, and I get something WAY better!" But it would ignite Republican CIVIL WAR. It would be AWESOME. But more likely, this is just his usual bullshit and will amount to nothing. Or I'm right, and it's the kind of shitty coverage that has about a bazillion dollar deductible.
I'm not going to comment on something we haven't seen yet. I don't expect much that government does will be satisfactory to me. Hoping if it is exactly what you want, you'll continue your stream of idiots tweeting how bad it is.
Good on you sir, can't disagree with that at all. Perhaps when you have time you can clarify the matter I asked about.
That is an astute question. I don't think we have had true commercially Health insurance available to purchase since Obama care became the law.
Trump keeping another promise. And not single payer. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...3375f271c9c_story.html?utm_term=.d8c3c9c5a017 For conservative Republicans dubious about his pledge to ensure coverage for millions, Trump pointed to several interviews he gave during the campaign in which he promised to “not have people dying on the street.” “It’s not going to be their plan,” he said of people covered under the current law. “It’ll be another plan. But they’ll be beautifully covered. I don’t want single-payer. What I do want is to be able to take care of people,” he said Saturday.
How does making another vague statement amount to keeping a promise? Unless of course the promise was to make vague statements. Let me know when he (or the Republicans) actually have a proposal. barfo
He did say he wouldn't have people dying in the streets and everyone would have care. Or there's whatever nonsense rastapapalous is quoting. And then there's WaPost. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...3375f271c9c_story.html?utm_term=.5924305c9463 Trump vows ‘insurance for everybody’ in Obamacare replacement plan President-elect Donald Trump said in a weekend interview that he is nearing completion of a plan to replace President Obama’s signature health-care law with the goal of “insurance for everybody,” while also vowing to force drug companies to negotiate directly with the government on prices in Medicare and Medicaid. ... Trump said his plan for replacing most aspects of Obama’s health-care law is all but finished. “It’s very much formulated down to the final strokes. We haven’t put it in quite yet but we’re going to be doing it soon,” Trump said. He noted that he is waiting for his nominee for secretary of health and human services, Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), to be confirmed. That decision rests with the Senate Finance Committee, which hasn’t scheduled a hearing. Trump’s declaration that his replacement plan is ready comes after many Republicans — moderates and conservatives — expressed anxiety last week about the party’s lack of a formal proposal as they held votes on repealing the law. Once his plan is made public, Trump said, he is confident that it could get enough votes to pass in both chambers. He declined to discuss how he would court wary Democrats.
Yes, he said that. That's not a plan, and that's not keeping a promise. That's maybe a goal or a preference or something. Well... ok. Another secret plan. I will patiently wait for details. barfo
I didn't know I couldn't get PMs from everyone...fixed. Now Rasta can sext me in private, someone tell him. As to that show, I remember liking it but in real movie theaters I even get mad at my wife for talking. Shut up! Luckily we don't go to the theater anymore and I can rewind if we start talking.
It's super hard for me to stay out of this section of the Forum (guess I'm a glutton for punishment) so I'm just going to put a few of you on ignore...
Sure it's keeping a promise. Let's hope it's not a repeat of ObamaCare. You know, where Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were held hostage by Democrats to get their votes.
Nah, I think it's ignorance on their part. Doesn't happen in their neighborhood, it happens to THOSE people over there.
Don't you dare. A. Don't leave. B. Know thine enemy You know I feel like choke slamming some of these guys when I read their posts don't you? I'm worried about the future of this country and ignoring each other on a small level can lead to larger issues. You know we don't need Trump or Obama to make this country better, we need dialogue and to work together.
