Only way to stream it that I know of is via the Blazers app, and that's location based. @crandc is out of luck down in Oakland.
Interesting, back in the day KEX or whatever would allow you to stream their broadcast free of charge and with no app or anything. I believe Wheels is on 102.3 now, if they have a website they may do the same thing.
NBA League Pass has a radio-only option for $9.99 a season. The quality of the stream, especially on wi-fi, is really good.
I bet if crandc had a man around, she wouldn't have this problem. He would be able to fix it! And then she could fix him dinner. HA!
Are you saying, @HCP, I would fix the man for dinner? Filet of dude? Enough to make me full time vegetarian.
Yeah, I was never much of a fan of M&M, and was gonna give the new guys a full season before forming an opinion. But I agree - they have made me miss M&M. Being that I wasn't a fan to begin with, that's pretty bad.
I miss them, but only in the sense that they should've stayed in the family. I think Mike and Mike should've been on the pre and post game show stuff. Actually, Rice should've stayed on the radio.
The guy lawler works with makes him look bad. One of the worst color guys in the league. Right up there with the Cleveland clown. I don't even know their names.
Cleveland announcers definitely aren't great but I don't think they are the worst either. When I think of bad announcers I think of the Thunder and the Rockets. Cleveland has got to be bottom 5-8 though. I'm not too high on the Denver announcers either. The Knicks and Nets have the solid national guys in Breen, and Fratello. I'm also a fan of Jerry Reynolds and Grant Napear in Sacramento. Who would you say are your favorite Local announcers in the league?
Brent Barry would be my first choice. I'm not sure Webber would click with the city, he'd be better suited for a job in Sacramento where he played. Webber is definitely a great announcer in his own right though.
I'm one of the few that actually enjoy the lakers crew. They are about as neutral as a local crew can be. I agree about Denver. They suck. So does Houston, specifically Drexler. Sean Elliott in SA is awful too. Jazz crew isn't bad.
Oh man, this is my all time favorite episode from the Simpsons. I remember watching this live on Halloween way way back in the day, brilliant!
Best announcers I can think of? From what I remember one of the Florida teams had objective announcers that called things clearly, I think it might have been Miami's. The Lakers also do have very reasonable announcers, I was shocked when I came to that conclusion as well. Sacramento had great announcers too from what I can remember. Worst announcers? Oh my god, it's Celtics or Clippers, not even close, they are just god awful! Houston is top 5, but wow omg I think if I had to choose it would be the Clipper announcers. One of them is just so unbearable.
Mike Rice should have been put out to pasture, really probably at the same time as Roy sadly. As bad as Hurd is, he's just boring, Rice was simply unbearable. Believe it or not, I would sometimes find streams from the opposing team just so I didn't have to listen to that guy, a million times yuck on him. Barrett was alright, he grew on me, and tbh I prefer him over Calabro so far. But I was one of the few cheering this change on simply to finally FINALLY dump Mike freaking Rice, barrett was unfortunate collateral damage that was, and still is, acceptable to me to dump Rice. I was hoping they would pair Calabro up with Holton, I like him a lot, and I think he would mix well with him. Hopefully they'll make another change with Hurd this year.
I watched a game a while back that was announced by the Lakers crew, and although it felt dirty somehow, I came away feeling like the Lakers TV announcers were very good, and as clear headed and unbiased as any I've seen. I liked them. It shocked me. Probably because their douchy fans are so fucking douchy, I imagined the same for the whole organization. Fuck the Lakers anyway. Forever. #teamofdestiny
