    Well actually, if we didn't have to amnesty Roy, we would have been able to amnesty someone else and have max cap. That could have helped the rebuild much faster

    Sorry, man, I'm mostly with MM on this one. If you don't think Roy screwed us then you don't really understand the salary cap. OTOH, really we screwed ourselves by giving into his contract demands when he negotiated through the press.

    There were plenty of players we could amnesty. Did you think we didn't have contracts?

    Look, I am a big Roy fan, but the dude fucked Allen and the Blazers cap big time. If he actually retired, we would of had more cap space and Allen's insurance would have paid his contract. This is why Allen will probably never retire his number ever.

    Our cap space would've been the same! We amnestied him right when he retired, and the comeback didn't take away any cap space. Plus there's been no one that has been worth amnestying since, so if you guys think not having our amnesty clause is hurting us more than what B Roy did for the organization, then you guys are clueless.
