Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs have developed a strained relationship over the past few months and may even want a trade.

"Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio is what I'm hearing," said Jalen Rose on First Take. "The reason why is twofold. One is they've been unable to attract elite level, All-NBA caliber free agents to come play with him. Think about this: the reason why, in my opinion, we always talk about players joining large market teams. We never say who's going to San Antonio to play with Kawhi.

"Here is why I think players have not done that. The Spurs' way looks like opportunity dressed in overalls. It looks like work and people really don't want that.

"When you go to San Antonio, guess who is the CEO of that organization? Gregg Popovich. It's going to be his way.

"So for Kawhi and also the way his injury situation was handled. You see him in the lineup, you see him out of the lineup. Is it his quad? What's going on with his history? Was he misdiagnosed?

Kawhi has had enough of Lamarcus......Duncan even left a year earlier than he said he would.....if he's demanding a trade...I hope he has Dame on speed dial....I'd offer CJ, Mo, Meyers and ET whatever else they wanted...picks...etc...he's a game changer

Trade CJ and whatever else it takes to get Kawhi

Trade Nurk n' change to get Jordan.

I'd hate to lose our Bosnian posters, but I want a legitimate "big three" dammit.

Kawhi... give them our gold standard package... CJ, Collins, Davis, and 2018+2020 first round picks. (I'm sure we'd have to take Pau back in this scenario... and fuck yes do it)

I am fascinated by what would happen to Nurk under Pop.

He'd probably get his attitude in check real quick.

DJ isn't in any position to be a part of a "big 3". He contributes almost nothing on offense save alley oops, and pick and roll finishes. He wouldn't average more than what he's averaging now

    11 PPG...

I think Dame and Jordan might please him if this is all true.

If Nurk+Turner or Nurk+Moe+Noah (the latter being more likely) for Jordan is doable AND CJ, Collins, Davis, and picks for Kawhi and Pau is actually a thing... do it.

I like Jalen Rose. But Jalen be like:

"We never say who's going to San Antonio to play with Kawhi."

MF!!! We said that 2+ years ago when they signed the BIGGEST FA on the market.

We know they would ask for Dame. I'd think long and hard about that one, but ultimately would say no. The idea of getting Kawhi would be to pair him with Dame.

Trade everyone else (hopefully not Nurk), but literally everyone else.

Jalen also called that LA would go to the Spurs months before he actually did.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If Leonard actually came available, I'm pretty sure there would be offers that would easily trump what Portland could offer. Top-five superstars in their young prime are almost never available. Boston, for one, could make a much better offer.

I get that, but if the blazers traded for a better core of players it could make that point moot. In the end it is about better players.

I mean, Boston has great picks and young players but do they have the salary to get a Kawhi? I don't see the Spurs wanting Hayward. The Celtics would be kinda forced to do Brown, Tatum, Smart, and a pick for Kawhi. I don't see Ainge doing that.

Right? So even HE was saying it.

Love you J, but that was not a well thought out comment.

If the choice is between Nurk and DJ, I'm keeping Nurk.
