I've already learned it. Blended Scotch is better than the famous single malt and the best blended Scotch I've ever had is the Pinch dimple. I once bought a bottle each of two 12 year old single malts and couldn't say I really enjoyed either one.

In many states it is a lot easier to buy a gun than to vote.

Because Im a gun owner of both pistols and rifles, does that make me a right wing nutso?
I think you'd be surprised at how many Dems and Ind. own guns for hunting, sport, or collection.
I support the second amendment and I support gun measures that prevent wackos from getting hands on.

Not at all . I knew hunters who were responsible. They didn't go to Starbucks with guns strapped to their crotches, they didn't have arsenals of assault weapons, they didn't consider gun extension of their penis.

I used to hunt to bring home the bacon but haven't for some time. Id rather no shoot an animal anymore unless I needed the food or one was attacking me.
I do a lot of camping and have a pistol handy fro protection and Ive only had 1 incident where I was hoping I didnt have to use but would if had to, there were camper with Pit Bulls and Rotwiellers lose disturbing and threaten other campers and we were next to them so we were harassed by the dogs, I talked to them the owners 2 an on the third time I told them them dogs continue to run lose and frighten my wife, I'll shoot them. I told them I already informed the local ranger of the issue and what I would shoot the dogs if needed. Well, they chained them and left next morning. I love dogs but these guys were pack empowered and had that look.

Hunting isn't in my family as it is against Jewish law. But I had a colleague when I lived in Portland who brought me pheasant, which I liked. He also gave me two venison chops, but after cooking them I couldn't get past thinking I was eating Bambi, so gave them to the cats.

Cats are hunters and not sentimental about prey. They willingly ate Bambi.

You are a rational human capable of controlling rage. The demented ones firing the weapons at innocent people need help_(such as confidential groups that provide meds)~ before they pull a trigger. That's an approach politicians don't see. Suicide help groups should be a part of the solution.

agree. I know mentally people who are not allowed to drive a vehicle, boat, mcycle. Laws to prevent and laws that need to be enforced should be there to prevent. Im all for back ground checks and permits.
I read where there are more innocent people killed by knives, blunt force and other murderous ways than with rifles. Open societies will always have issues with sad criminal outcomes.

I'll bet the Chinese and Russians have raged people too. Any weapon can be available under stress conditions.

I was a hunter and still own two long barrel weapons. One is a 20 guage shotgun that I've only used for shooting skeet and the other is a fabulous Sako .270 with a strong breech and an extra long and extra thick barrel. This allows me to load cartridges that are very hot. Not a lot of kick and if you use the right powder, there is no fear of double loading. My friend, an avid and excellent shooter says that barrel with that powder means that the bullet exits the barrel in the middle of an oscillation which makes for a better aim. Looking back on it I kind of wish I had gotten the Sako .30 06. I've eaten a lot of venison and never really cared for it. Had elk on time and oh wow. was that good. Wish I could hunt elk. Wish I could have gotten a pheasant, grouse, wild turkey or quail with my shotgun.
I also think there's no reason for an assault type weapon nor is there any need for large capacity magazines. And why aren't there universal background checks?
