<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Proz4k:</div><div class="quote_post">In Simien's situation i think the Heat don't really have a space for this talented player, in their PF position they have now starter Antoine Walker, Udonis Haslem and Zo that in most of the game he plays the PF position with Shaq in Center. I don't know why they draft him anyway if Miami's GM wants PF-Antoine Walker from the begining.</div> Toine will be coming off the bench. Zo will be the backup center and play PF for minimal minutes.
I don't know where Dorell Wright and Wayne Simien would fit in on the Heat roster. The roster is set to a win-now mode with the additions of Antoine Walker / Jason Williams / James Posey, and it is really now or never because Shaq isn't getting any younger. Could the deal involving Rafer Alston and Dorell Wright / Wayne Simien along with a filler be possible? I'd say yes.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker14:</div><div class="quote_post">Toine will be coming off the bench. Zo and Shaq together in the paint is very effective, and it was proved last season, it's will be mistake if Zo and Shaq will not play together beacuse of a fucking Rookie and a fucking Loser.
no because Wright has a possibility of stardom in his future and Miami doesn't wan't to give that up. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. Simien is going to be the back up PF while Toine will back up the 3 and sometimes the 4. Maybe trade Simien but definately not Wright. If they refused to give up Wright or Simien in the big trade, why would they do it for Rafer Alston?

Toine's defense is nothing like Haslem, and Haslem is a beast on the boards. Haslem isn't a headcase like Toine, and his offense is coming along quite well. Uhh, no1 said that Zo and Shaq wouldn't play together. Miami tends not to play rookie's unless they're big time rookies like Wade or Caron Butler. So what if Simien is a rookie, he is a good rebounder, and how on earth is he a loser?
It's always possible, especially if Damon Jones leaves to Cleveland. With all the other serviceable backup PGs off the market, who would Pat Riley go after? I don't think he wants a Milt Palacio backing up at the point when the playoff time comes around.

If Antoine doesn't stick to his words that he will defer to Wade and O'Neal, it's not too late to put him on the bench.

If he leaves then this trade may have some life, but I don't see them tading Dorrell, he has to much upside to give up on at this point in his career. Lol no1 in their right mind would ahevMilt backup a team like Miami. If Watson is still a possibility than I'd take him and we wouldn't give up anything.

Plus we need Haslem's defense down low because that's something that lineup lacks.

I agree with playmaker, Why should the Heat start Walker? Hes isn't as good at defense and rebounding as Haslem is. We have enough offense in our starting lineup with Wade, Shaq, JWill, and Posey. It would be better to bring Walker off the bench to provide offense in our second unit.

Would the Heat offer anywhere close to that? They had the full MLE to spend, but they signed Barros to a contract, and assuming that it was for a part of the MLE, I don't think the Heat will have enough to keep DJ around. Riley most likely kept Dorell Wright / Wayne Simien to use as a future trade asset to acquire a backup PG just incase they can't keep Damon Jones.
I don't want Dorrell to leave because if he lives up to the upside, imagine in 3 or 4 years him and Wad ein the backcourt. That would be great.

Wouldn't you agree if I said the starting lineup of Shaquille O'Neal / Udonis Haslem / James Posey / Dwyane Wade / Jason Williams will lack the perimeter shooting?
Walker is going to get around 25 minutes a game, but it will be up to SVG to decide what is more important, defense or a perimiter game. I'd take the defense because you know what they say. Offense wins games, but defense wins championships.

You can have Walker start during the regular season to win games and have Haslem start during the playoffs to win a championship!

Walker is a third time All-Star and he's a good rebounder like Udonis, Walker can play outside the paint and give the paind to Shaq and in case that the teams bring a double-team, Walker can knock down the 3pts shot, unable with Udonis... Walker have the experience in the high levels... In defence, Udonis he is not a great shot blocker... and for defence you always prefer Zo, so in D he doesn't have advantage on Walker. Better if you take a look on the Statistics...

Proz4k, Haslem does have the advantage over Walker on defense. He hustles and always tries to stay infront of his man. playmaker14, read my comment 2 posts up!
