You know they (Roy Williams included) said the same thing about Lance Stephenson. I haven't had a chance to read this thread, and I'm about to crash after driving all day from NOLA, so I'll save me Ricky Ledo opinions until tomorrow. Two names to throw into the fire though (if they haven't already been introduced) are Jeremy Tyler and Aquille Carr.
So, how quickly does Ledo get drafted in the 2nd round? Clearly the buzz about him being an extreme douchebag had merit, though, because with his talent, he should be a first-round pick.
I'd imagine fairly quick, considering he isn't guaranteed a spot. His maturity issues must be pretty severe, though.
I posted earlier in this thread that he seems destined for a career of bouncing around foreign leagues, but I really don't have an issue with Olshey trading 39/40 for 31 or 32 and drafting him. He is an extremely gifted scorer. I'm not sure if moving to a smaller city like Portland would be good or bad for him, though. Maybe a wake-up call, but knuckleheads rarely learn.
I'm not meaning for you to eat crow. I think Ledo is uber-talented, and by far the BPA left. The character issues must be even worse than any of us guessed.
I am seriously wondering what the personal issues are - they are more than what has been let out in the media, IMO.
