Very sorry to hear. I had the TV on mute and had no clue what was going on when all these concerned faces showed up. Especially had to have hit hard for Nic-- the look on his face was brutal.
Feel sad for this woman and her family. Would have been tough to actually see someone keel over and die.
I hope her family can keep their privacy. Certainly a sad event but I hope media doesnt release names and stuff if thats not what the family wants. Im glad at least as a fan she died doing something she enjoyed. And we were playing a heck of a game, at least her final moments were happy
Its very sad to hear of this. I was very concerned with how the event was described that it was something life threatening. Sounds like everything was handled as well as could have been hoped but in the end it was just her time.
Yeah most people don't have ems just a few seconds away. If they couldn't save her, I don't think there's much anyone could have done, unless she was already in a hospital. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How quickly fans helped carry her down to the court was pretty impressive, just a sad day when something like this happens.
It goes to show how caring we are as humans. When someone is in need, we usually help them no matter what. It's really a beautiful thing.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was thinking this. She was a STH, and we are all going to die some day. We could all be so lucky passing away doing something we love, even if it is way too soon. Thoughts and prayers to her family in this difficult time.
I have no idea who this woman was, but she was a season ticket holder, and therefore a Blazers fan. So, I feel a connection to her and am saddened by her death. Of course, if the family wishes to mourn their loss in private, those wishes should be honored. However, if her family wants the team she loved to do something in her memory, I think that would be great, too. I think the way we idolize and vilify professional athletes causes us to sometimes forget they are human, too and have feelings just like the rest of us. The concern of the players last night was truly touching and showed they really do care about the fans that support them. A sad moment, but also one that made me proud to be a Portland Trail Blazer fan. BNM
Crazy thing is the EMT people are stationed in the wing right there heading back to the locker rooms. And they still couldn't get there in time. Very sad.
I had read that she coughed up blood and then collapsed. I doubt we'll find out exactly what killed her, but it sounds like it was something very very fast.
