“Natural causes”? I’m sorry, but that’s highly suspicious. No one dies of over-eating or obesity at age 25. My heart goes out to Caleb Swanigan, but this is not the whole story.
What can "we" do to make things more fair than give a young guy, with a rough upbringing, a college scholarship and multi-million dollar payday? He had the tools at his disposal to take any path he wanted. It's not the responsibility of others to make him happy. If you meant it in general terms, well, this specific example sort of ruins that point, as well. Making things more fair did nothing to help Caleb.
It's possible. It could be he had some heart anomaly or something. He did have issues with drugs so maybe it was a contributing factor.
There’s no shame in dying from Covid. Millions of people have left this earth thanks to that scourge.
RIP Remember how quickly his weight went back up after finding himself out of the NBA. Wonder if he had chosen to play in the G-League or something else. We know his story fairly well. Sad to hear, he seemed like a solid human being. Peace to him and his family.
I never said there was...... But nobody mentioned Covid and with his weight issues, I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it.
Mental anguish takes a toll. Add in the the struggles with weight, and it's possible his heart gave out. I hope he had some good times being a Blazer. As others have said, dealing with demons is a curse. RIP Biggie, you will be missed.
Heart goes out to everyone around him. If reports I read last year about him structuring a large chunk of his NBA money into a trust for his kids is correct, I hope some of his legacy remains inspirational, and not just tragedy of not quite beating the odds
So sad. I remember, years back, telling BLAZER PROPHET that I thought "Swanny" was a perfect fit for our team. Such enthusiasm and tenacity! He disagreed, but that really doesn't matter now. My heart goes out to his family. RIP, young man.
