I'd say closer to ten years ago.
Never underestimate the value of a good towel waving water boy. Can make a huge difference in crunch time!
Yep, just ask Adam Sandler
I don't know how to respond to this one 'cause I don't have any idea who Statler and the other character are. You see, I don't get out much and when I do it's because something hot is going down at the local old folks home. I think tonight is meatloaf and bingo.
I'd be willing to drag myself from the couch and hoop with y'all.
Well if that dfoesnt sound like another old timer trying to reclaim his youth... lol.
Join the club man!
Okay. IM gonna start a thread for some preseason scrimmages prior to the tournament.
Cmon Lanny! Muppets !!!
Hey, I go back before Capt. Kangaroo, how would I know about Muppets? Ask me about the picture shows before the talkies.
I'm worried for your guys ankles. I broke a varsity kids ankles last night. You guys might not be able to recover.
I can score on you pretty easily.
Lmao this man really is delusional!
I've locked up D1 players before bud.
I've broken my ankles so many times that now I just hack to make up for my lack of mobility.
Confession, I've been a hack for most of my life. Now, I walk with a cane so I can't even hack.
Wasn't kingspeed the guy who sought attention and posted about his males only league a couple years ago?
He was told by his coach/teammate to stop shooting and go rebound?
Said how his coach/teammates didn't think he was a shooter.
I don't think this guy should be saying. 'I could score pretty easily' on anyone.
Let the shit talking commence! Now i know to bring my hip waders to scrimmage. Lol
Half of us have cankles anyhow. Who you kiddin.
His jumper is slower than Meyers.
That's a great example of the kind of mentality we can't have if we want to be successful as a team. Confidence is good, but don't discredit Bones, kid can ball.
Well obviously as a team, we won't be playing against each other.
That is true, but I want you to trust him on that end as a team mate as well. Same on offense, I want you guys to trust eachother enough to make an extra pass. 3 on 3 itself lends to more isolation, but it's also less forgiving if the defense defends screens incorrectly. One wrong call on a slip and you've got a path to the rim.
As I said, teams seemed pretty solid last year, I was impressed. That being said I think a 3 man 2-1 zone could be effective. Basically I'm thinking we want to contest 3's and the rim, force our opponents to take long 2's. Chances are there will be someone on their team capable of hitting, just like there is on our team, but as hoop fans we all know that is the least efficient shot to give your opponent.
I want to see Bones get involved off screens with cuts. He's got good handles for his size and I'm comfortable that he can take his opponent to the rim all day if set up properly.
I have ideas for all of you, but I'd want to know where you are comfortable on the court. Likewise I want teammates to know that as well so that we can try to get everyone their looks.
