<div class="quote_poster">Answer_AI03 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Rip is a highly overrated player. the only reason he was an allstar last year was because of the system he's in. Rip is a valuable asset to detroit but i dont think he would have the same success on another team. his weak defense, lack of rebounding, and assists would all be exposed. detroit is the only team Rip is an allstar on. I almost wouldnt do that trade because the only thing Rip really has is a midrange jumper. Mo-pete can at least finish around the hoop and shoot 3s.</div>

i disagree...rip is probably an UNDERRATED player. he's probably the best mid-range shooter in the nba...without question is the best player in the league at moving without the ball and using screens, and is an underrated perimter defender. last year he increased his 3pt% from .305 the year before to a VERY respectable .458%, and was the leading scorer on the leagues best team. THAT is why he was an all-star. he also avg's 3rpg a game, which to me, isnt all that weak when you play on a team that has tayshaun, and the wallace's on the front line...not to mention chauncey billups...whos a pretty good rebounder for a pg. his job isnt to rebound and he sitll manages to give you 3 a game...how is that bad? you're horribly underrating rip. he's better then you think

*edit* sorry chut...didnt see you closed it. my bad
