I'll take a top 5 start after 2 days, even though I had nova going to the championship.

Got Xavier going to the sweet 16 right. I am so smart!

My bracket is a joke. It's funny because I have 6 other brackets which are all doing much better.

Yay! I'm killing it. All you guys have to do is pick the favorites. It's pretty simple.

And that's why you include an upset bonus

No worries Bones. How about you run it next year? And then I don't have to worry about whether I'm doing things right. I'll just concentrate on making the worst bracket possible.

If you took that as a shot at you, well, it wasn't a shot at you at all. Don't take that comment personally. I didn't mean it in a complaining way haha.

Just don't like those people who try to win bracket pools by simply picking favorites. That's all.

I get that. And no worries sir. I guess I have always played the traditional yahoo bracket and I have always tried to play fun upsets. Of course, I lose every time. It's still a really fun thing to do. I did really well in a bracket last year actually for 100,000 dollars and finished in the top 10. That would have been fun..

Why should I pick the teams that aren't going to win?

An 11 seed wins every year. A 12 seed wins almost every single year.

So there no reason to think that what you filled out was what was exactly going to happen. Instead, because predicting which upsets will happen, it's easiest to pick none.

Did you really think no 9, 10, 11, or 12 seeds would win this year?

Easy fix. First bracket you submit should be all chalk. Mandate that you can't win a prize if you can't beat the all chalk bracket. If all chalk comes in first, you keep everything. :devilwink:

So then they pick all chalk and pick one 9 instead of an 8. If that 9 seed wins, then they win...

Nope but I have a better chance of winning the whole thing overall if I pick the favorites.

And I picked my alma mater Michigan to win every series until they faced my home town Oregon which I had going all the way.

By the way, HCP, you can stop with the #64wins needling. I'm putting you on ignore.

Just remind him that he thought CJ wasn't good enough to be a starter in the NBA.

Exactly. So instead of trying to get your bracket right, you put no thought into it and pick a completely vanilla bracket to try to win.

That's no fun. If everyone did that there'd be no point. But you then win at the expense of the people that don't.
