    It is easier to win a title with a dominant big man, but there are no dominant big men in today's NBA. That's why teams like the Heat have won titles. And the fact that Lebron James is on the team. The last dominant big man was Shaq. I don't see any others coming up through the ranks either.

    Extremely bizarre thread. The salary disparity between Lopez and Howard which has been ignored here is SUPER SUPER relevant.

    Even IF Howard wanted to sign with us we'd have had to dump multiple starters and we would not have as good a record as we have now. That being said such a deal would still be a very good deal. However, getting Lopez for a very small amount of cap space has been an absolute steal. That's the point of the thread.
