LMA looked especially happy with Lopez after that pass from Lopez when it looked like Lopez was going for a dunk.
That was the best part of all. I didn't know Lopez had this in him, but then again, it takes centers (generally) a long time to find themselves in the NBA>
On topic, I completely agree that Lopez looks the best he has as a Blazer. Batum has a pick and roll friend, and LaMarcus also looks really happy to see him on the court. Just nice to have some beef in the middle that knows what he's doing.
It was at me, for giving birth to a thread within a thread. Back on topic: I wish "box-outs" were a stat, because Lopez would be seen as more valuable for it. And I totally agree that Freeland is really essential to Lopez's effectiveness.
Yeah I was pumped about the hook shots. Even as flat as they are. But because of his quick release and that he can do it with either hand, makes it effective. Overall I am loving the interior passing by the bigs. Mo on the other hand needs to NOT force the ball inside and just make the easy ones to the corners. His 5 TO's was his only negative tonight.
You agree that BC's post should be deleted, right? If that post is deleted, we have to delete the ones that reference it, and then try to get the thread back on track.
I deleted my baby's baby picture and your response to it. Nothing wrong with your response, it just didn't make sense after I deleted the picture.
I don't think posts should ever be deleted, unless they contain personal information about a poster. Anyhow, Lopez played like crap against PHX in game 1. Wednesday is an early benchmark for him as a bounceback player, IMO.
I was sitting at half court tonight and I saw fear in the faces of the Detroit bigs when Drummond and Lopez got chippy. Lopez is fucking HUGE in person, and kinda crazy, so they look at him like they don't know what's coming next. They look like batters stepping in against a mentally unstable relief pitcher that throws 100mph, not knowing if they're going to get a fastball at their head the next pitch. Very cool to have this kind of intimidation on the team again.
Interesting when Drummond was trying to guard Lopez I was surprised how Robin compared to him. He just needs to keep hitting the weights.
RoLo is a top 10 center. Its funny how twins can be completely contrast in style of play. Brook is prefers silky smooth jumpers and plays the game like a violinist. Robin on the other hand plays like he's going into a mosh pit bangin to some Slayer.
Yeah its really interesting. I think its because twins end up playing so much as teammates usually you need different roles filled on a team so they each pick a role early and stick with it. Could you imagine the Lopez twins on the same team in middle school or high school? Scary!
With Synergy, you can pull up each rebound. Box and tip outs could be tracked, just like traditional rebounds. Some teams are probably already doing it.
