This is a great move by the rockets who continue to get younger. Van Gundy is going to love this guy for his huscle and how much heart he plays with and this guy who plays with heart actually has skill to handle and shoot the ball. I been wantin him since beginning but never thought bickerstaff would start smokin pot and give him up for so less. Wait till he starts contributing big to this team you guyz will see how good he is. He also is probably a friend of mcgrady from the orlando dayz? He is like the opposite of swift because of his heart and more than bowen becuz of his skills.

And btw, im just asking people if that trade could be possible, and if it it could help out both teams.. dont be trying to diss people like that.. act like a leader!![IMG]</div>
Sorry if that was offensive. I certainly didn't meant to poke fun at you. It was just that you seemed to want a small forward with height but then propose trading our two most tradeable pieces for a 6-3 combo guard.

As for getting Francis, it has been discussed in the "Artest to Rockets?" thread, and the general consensus is it wouldn't be bad to get Francis in Houston.

Since Bogans is here and we are now looking for a trade.

    PG-Rafer/Mooch
    SG-Wesley, Bogans, Head, Anderson
    SF- Tracy McGrady, Bowen
PF-Juwan Howard, Stromile Swift, Chuck Hayes
    C- Yao Ming, Dikembe Mutombo.

If I were the Rockets, id do an Anderson trade for a top 17 pick. Which is a good idea because we are going to let some free agents go. Jon Barry is retiring too.

Is Anderson worth a first round pick at all? This is a guy who has been troubled by injuries for the last few seasons, isn't a great all-around guy, and a 15ppg player at best, who is 31 years old. Which lottery team would want him?

Hes mostly healthy right now and his value can most likely bring us a first round pick to Houston, most teams are willing to give them up and Derek Anderson can be a good player if you give him the right minutes. He can also average 10+ppg off the bench when healthy, I hope teams just see through his injuries and just trade him for a first round pick.

His contract is over 1 million and the average salary of Luther Head(#24 overall) is $800,000. He is worth a lottery pick. We could just get a protected first rounder and a second rounder or we can use that trade exception to get a player. Who knows right now, but teams will take anderson. He can produce for teams. I have no doubt some one will bid.

I love this trade for the Rockets. Keith Bogans is a JVG type player and will thrive in JVG's system. He comes from one of the best college programs so he is fundamentally sound, plus he is a pitbull on defense. Bogans has improved his perimeter shot every season and is capable of giving the Rockets solid minutes at either guard position.

This is one of the players I wanted the Lakers to acquire in the off-season. He's the ideal role player at the guard position to take pressure off Kobe on defense and not be a liability on offense. I can see him having the same impact for TMac. The duo of Bogans/Head will give the Rockets solid production at SG for the next 5 seasons.

This move also opens the door for the Rockets to unload Wesley. His expiring contract still holds value, and his experience could help one of these young teams who are playoff bound.

How about Wesley for Dan Gadzuric?

Dan Gadzuric? Hell no. We don't need him or anymore PFs and Centers. I say we sign Wesley for another year. He is a good player, he can shoot 3 pointers like crazy. What would we need Dan Gadzuric for?

Gadzuric is an upgrade over both Swift and Howard. If he's given the minutes, he can give you solid rebounding and points at the powerforward position. The acquisition of Gadzuric would allow us to actively shop Howard and Swift around since we would need neither of those guys. Gadzuric can let Yao drift over to shoot more midrange shots which is what he's really good at while Gadzuric can work down low for rebounds.

Dan Gadzuric gives the Rockets another big man to come off the bench for defensive purposes. Dikembe Mutombo is on his last leg and Gadzuric has the ability to play either PF or C. He gives the Rockets a defensive presence to play alongside Yao or Swift. He runs the floor very well for a big man, and is a strong finisher.

I think JVG originally pictured Swift being capable of having the same impact Marcus Camby had when he coached him in NY. Swift has been a failure because he lacks any discipline or work ethic. Gadzuric has the same size and skills as Swift, but also has the discipline and defensive minded approach to the game to fit in JVG's schemes.
