<div class="quote_poster">Quoting HoustonHoopa33:</div><div class="quote_post">KHTV just reported that the Rockets are interested in Charlie Ward. I think this makes more sense, as he's a great team player and good 3-point shooter. Plus he knows JVG's system, and his contract comes off the books this year, I think.</div>

I agree that he would be an excellent fit however what I don't get was if they wanted him, why they wouldn't have packaged him in the deal with NY.

There are many reasons as to why he wasn't put in the deal with NY however my thinking was that if the Rockets were going to get him, he was going to be included in the deal for Moochie.

I really don't think the Suns want to trade Ward. His contract comes off the books this year so it would be pointless to trade him away for a player with a large contract.

If Houston wants Ward, I think the move will come in the offseason.

If Charlie Ward is not signed during the season, who would play backup point for us then. I'm just not comfortable with Wilks filling that role.
