Nah I'm from California/Portland.... I'm on study abroad for 3 months in Venice right now. I'm a junior at the University of Oregon.
Suck. It. Bitches. I was watching this game with a Rockets fan. Obviously, he was being a dick after the Yao And 1, but wow. BRoy FTW.
Saturday is the first game this year we should win. It will be interesting to see how the Blazers do.
If you haven't done it, make sure to read page 10 of this thread. It is the biggest rollercoaster of emotion I have ever read on any board. Just fantastic stuff.
I criticize Travis quite a bit, but I loved his rebounding tonight. I hope Nate drives home the point he could do that every night, that his game can be more than just scoring.
Man what a game. I hope all you who dissed Roy during this game flick yourselves off in the mirror for me. I would really, truly appreciate it. I'm so glad I recorded this game - To think I was tempted to stop the recording after I learned Yao got fouled... I'll flick myself off as well, now that I think about it. That was just amazing... Oh, and Charles Barkley is extremely hard to like as a Blazers fan. I wonder if the city of Portland had sex with his wife or something... Maybe we killed his dog.
...depending on how many posts you display per page it may or may not be "page 10" [I have mine set at 40 so what post numbers specifically are you speaking of???]
I'd like to quote HCP on this one: (puts hand over mouth) "WOW!" Y'all should know what I'm talking about. :-D
Undefeated at home! Yes! Hopefully that'll continue Saturday since I'll be there. That would make us playing .500 ball which would be way ahead of what most people felt we would be especially with Oden and Webster out.

So in the first five games I would argue we played the top five teams in the West. I had a hoped for 3-2 but considering three were on the road and Oden played 13 minutes its hard to be disappointed in a 2-3 start. Further, its not like they trailed throughout. Instead, the Blazers often ha the league but had problems closing. Thats a function of being young, IMO and going up against established stars who know how to value every possession in the 4th. Already they are getting better as evidenced by the Rockets game tonight. I pray for Oden's quick and health return and from there its just time to gel and start kicking ass.
Great point. The bad side, of course, could be.... if Mike Finley makes a wide open shot and Roy misses a prayer, we're 0-5. But I'll take what we got.
for me it's just important that the team and players and coaches build upon what the did last year. They are doing that. As long as they improve they will be champions eventually. Enjoy the ride!
