Great win tody against the Portland Trailblazers! Yao was really dominant tonight on the offensive end! as was T-Mac but thats not as much as a suprise. The highlight of the game tonight was Yao's behind the back dribble to a fast break dunk! he finished with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks (showed that Ha Seung-Ji fella!) at one point in the game we were leading by 25 points!, back to T-Mac he had 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists, Clarence Weatherspoon had 5 rebounds, Wesley had a poor shooting night but finished with 8 points and 7 assists, Mutombo had 3 blocks and Torraye Braggs had 3 Rebounds in only 2 minutes, not too bad...
McGrady had 26 not 24, and Clarence had a season high 12 points against Miami, so tonight was not his high as a Rocket or even this season alone. Just thought I'd clear those up.
Wow, almost all my predictions were wrong lol. I expected another mediocre game from Yao and expected very even scoring throughout the entire rotation. HAHA!!! Shows you what I know! If someone can get a hold of the video of Yao behind the back, could you please post it on the rockets video thread? Thanks

I don't know why I thought Clarence had his first 10 point game as a Rocket..must of heard it from somewhere else, and the 26 point thing was either a typo or just misread it...

I got to see the game today on one of the Western regional sports channels, but it was a pain to hear the commentary. It was the Blazers' commentators and they had a whole bunch of wrong facts. When Yao was at the line, one guy said: "Yao's shooting 77% on the season." Other guy:"Yeah, he's improved a lot. When he first came into the league he was shooting 62%!". I mean come on...Yao's getting a career low shooting free throws. There was also when one guy mentioned the Yao quote about Ha at 19. And the other guy said: "Yeah. Yao's right. Ha is in the NBA while Yao was horrible at 19." Once again, Yao was actually starting for China in the 2000 Olympics and averaging 11 points. I might be wrong on this, but I don't think Ha even gets to play on the Korean team. Anyways, there's my rant, and now on to the game. Yao was pure dominating in the first quarter, cleaning up the offensive glass and even pulling off that behind the back dribble like all of you mentioned. It was simply a joy to watch. We're now building up a whole head of steam and I doubt any team would want to face us in the first round of the playoffs.

Especially those stupid Portland announcers on FSN. Do you really think Yao would straight up say that Ha sucks? Obviously the guy is bigger and stronger than when Yao last faced him, but the guy's 19 - he's obviously is gonna get bigger. His size doesn't change the fact that Ha doesn't have any range outside 2 feet from the hoop (if even )

LOL yaofan! I didn't watch the game so thanks for putting the play up there. I didn't think Yao would be able to dribble two feet without fumbling the ball. Anyways, great game since Houston completely crushed Portland. In addition to that, both McGrady and Yao had great games so I really have to commend them for that. Plus Weatherspoon came up with a pretty big night. Hopefully, he can keep up this trend. From this game, they should be really confident so maybe it can carry over to the next game and the guys can keep up the same mentality.
I was seeing that on SportsCenter this morning. That was some pretty funny stuff and he finished it off with a nice dunk. I for one was impressed. It seems as if this year Yao is kind of getting out of his shell and looking more impressive. A very solid big man learning from the best in Patrick Ewing.
