Sorry, guys but I don't understand how a 26 year old that's played Basketball for all his life has such a bad back!!!!You don't see Kobe like that or Garnett,Duncan,Wade WTF??? Not even Shaq who weigh's like 380 or something!! And on another note WHY,WHY,WHY was Wesley defending Melo??? That was stupid!!! Wesley had NO chance!!! I don't see why Bowen wasn't defending!!!!

In particular, your back.
so who do u guys think should b the step up player to take over one of the star players' spot? man...i can't choose really....this yr is so jokes
I think mcgrady jus trains too much in the offseason because in a report he trains with nfl linebackers in the summer to work on explosiveness and quickness and strength and uses 80 pound or something weighted vests to develop it. Do you think that has something to do with tearing up his back??? but this could end up being a great season for us aka Rudy Gay but hey maybe lightening will hit stromile and alston and make them our 1-2punch Actually now with both big punches out we still have a shot a winning but we need a new offence. The triangle offence with Stromile Alston and Head it could work???
Dude, everyone does that kind of work. He works with NFL linebackers? I seriously doubt it, NFL training camps start about the time NBA players start prepping for the season, plus even if he does train with them its not like hes out there in pads going full contact. Quickness drills are universal. Those 80 pound vests? Try jumping with that on, try getting accustomed to that, and when you do and you finally take it off, you'll soar like superman.

well i guess everyones different and that t-mac jus did the wrong things with his back while kobe and garnett are doing the right things
TMac suffered a hurniated disc.(slipped disc, bulginging disc) none of those other players have suffered that I dont think. Thought surgery repairs it, it can be reaccuring and it is what causes the back pain and spasms.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">I think I have tears in my eyes...</div> me 2, seeing t-mac have to leave the game like that really hurts me
I like the result of this game, seeing that we were missing our top three players for a whole half and we still managed to stay in the game. It's got to be an encouraging result and it's one Van Gundy will probably use to motivate the players in future games when we'll be without Yao and McGrady again. It does suck royally to have McGrady out again, though. It looked pretty serious seeing that he had to be carried off on a stretcher and all, but some optimistic reports say we'll miss him for just 5-6 games. There's no reason to give up the season just yet seeing we might have a healthy roster by the end of this month, but if we're around 10 games below .500 by March, we might as well conserve McGrady and Yao.

He's so susceptible to back spasms because one of his legs is longer than the other. As for why Wesley was guarding Melo, he is their best perimeter defender with Tmac out. Van Gundy was yelling at Swift (who if you look at the replay was standing around guarding NOBODY) to come over and double, "by the time Swift heard him, it was too late." This is a perfect example of Swift's poor basketball IQ. Between that incident, and him losing the ball late in the game, Swift was key in losing that game for the Rox.

And Wesley may be our best perimeter defender but Melo is 6-8 and Wesley is listed @ 6-3 but is really more like 6Ft.Bad bad defensive matchup and I did see Stro come late to Dbl but Wesley did get shook pretty bad.
Wesley is 6-1, but who else could we have covering Anthony? Bowen's defense is pretty solid, but he does make some stupid shooting fouls and I wouldn't want his aggressive play to send the opponent to the line. A great player made a great shot, simple as that.
I don't have any resources, I've heard it been said in commentary when he used to play for the Magic and he had back problems. He has to where a special insert in one of his shoes because of it (I'm not too sure which leg it is).

He jumps for his jump shot, to dunk, to play D. He jumps so high when he does that and that has to effect his back. Did anyone else notice his back messed up after he tried a jumper?
