If there was no Nurk the game plan would have been totally different. We wouldn't have stuck Kanter or RHJ in single coverage on Jokic the whole game. The game plan was setup in a way for Nurk to shine and in his minutes on the court he did well. If you flip Nurk for a starter quality talent forward and a vet minimum center this team might have crushed Denver. So I don't believe Nurk was some rare talent. All that said I'm very excited to see Nurk with Billups as the coach. He has a much higher ceiling than Roco.
If he actually decides to listen and can stay healthy. It would be nice to see him actually dunk the ball once in a while as well.
that would be nice. But, he's 27 years old entering his 8th nba season and has been playing organized half of his life. That's kind of late to be expecting a leopard to change his spots very much. Old habits die hard
Yeah. I'm pretty close to being done with Nurk. I want to see where he is 20 games into this season. Hoping for the best.
