my position on thorn has always been the same. he's always been content on keeping what he has even when it's failed time and time again. the ultimate optimist, i guess.

I think he gets emotionally attached to his players. Most of them are really good guys and he is very loyal to them. I really admire that aspect of his management style. I know that he is a very competitive person, though. Just watch him when he sits in the stands. He has a worse temper than almost anyone - even on this board! I just don't understand how that didn't translate into action when the Nets needed him to come through. He just never got the job done. The urgency was never there. It still isn't. It's just baffling to me.
