This is why you are a homer, you are the only one here that won't shut up about this Bron/Melo thing, we want to talk about these other rookies. Let it go.
no that has NOTHING to do with being or not being a homer. NOTHING. i dont appreciate the attacks for no reason. i am going to defend myself.
besides, the topic is rookie rankings and i was talking about them. I NOT stopping others from talking about other rookies. stop making me the scape goat and making excuses. very immature.
Josh Howard IMO could end up the steal of the draft. A very good player who's gotten playing time with Dirk's injuries and impressed. Some other rookies to watch who have done some nice things early: Maurice Williams (Uta), Raul Lopez (Uta) Luke Ridnour (Sea), Boris Diaw (Atl) and Zarko Cabarkapa (Pho). Considering we haven't even seen any of lottery picks Darko and Nick Collison, this is a very exciting draft class and could potentially turn in a few sleepers.

I don't understand Browns logic with Darko. He wants to bring him along slow, but, this is too slow I think. He's not gonna get the experience he needs just playing the practice squad, he needs in game experience. Because, quite frankly, there is no way you can simulate the intensity of a true game in practice. He needs to see some court action or else he's not gonna get the experience he needs.
He has plenty of time mate, being the youngest player in the league (believe league history too) Trying to score over Ben Wallace in practice is not easy, ha.

He's a project player, a diamond in the rough. Besides, they're pretty much fixed at his position.

Brown has the luxury of bringing Darko along slowly. Fielding Darko on the court will make winning more tough. As a rookie, you are going to make mistakes. Since Detroit is trying to secure Home Court Advantage, they need to minimize mistakes to maximize the chance for HCA. Which is why Darko is being brought along slowly.

Nonetheless, a co-ROY isn't out of the question, because both players are putting up similar numbers. We shouldn't penalize rookies (in the case of Lebron) for being on a bad team. He WAS 1st pick, which would designate him to the worst team. Check your pm's buddy. -TB76
