For them to be swapped is not totally surprizing, and I think Aldridge was recovering from an injury anyway. In hindsight it looks like a bad trade, but at the time it didn't. (or at least people who made draft boards didn't imply one player was unanimously better than the other).</div>

Draft boards also had Darko at #2

But on draft day thats what matters.

Also, I obviously missed the whole point of Paxson being an idiot, so posting a stupid trade.

Shame on me, sorry for wasting time.

Author selected games which he felt reflected better players against Rose and Beasley and compared the stats. Also make a pace adjustment.

Rose's stats get better; Beasley's worse.

Clearly, Rose improved play in the NCAA tourney a factor. Unclearly, how biased the game selection is.

    But interesting...

That did seem to be a good way to do it. I'd chalk a lot of it up to Memphis having a lot of NBA talent too. When good teams played them, they couldn't totally work on shutting down Rose.

Still, and despite what I wrote in the other thread that Beasley is looking better to me, I'm pretty comfortable with Rose.
