<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Fabfive:</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors win you guys love Jalen Raptors lose you guys hate Jalen Raptors lose you blame Jalen for trying to make the last shot Raptors lose you guys want to trade him He goes to the bench and produces you guys still want to trade him He comes back to the starting lineup and you still want to trade him He's not exactly the best defender, but then again neither was VC </div> I really want to respond to this, First off, people hated Jalen when he was playing terribly earlier in the season. He was chucking up shots, playing very bad defense, and playing in a similar fashion as Vince was. We were vindictive of his playing style not the W/L record. Bosh was trying, and we were losing, we didn't hate Bosh. About when we lose, we want to trade Jalen, that is due to his large contract and the fact that a lot of fans want to scrap the season. People wanted to trade Yell, but mostly its for building for the future not b/c we hate Yell. Also, as the season has rolled on, we have heard more from Jalen. He has become the voice of the Raptors and shown that he has a good sense of humour and is a likeable guy. Earlier this season, and last season we didn't hear from him as much. I think it makes sense that a player not playing hard will not be liked (Vince and early season Jalen), vs. players working hard (Bosh, Skip, Bonner, and new-Jalen)
You damn right fabfive, that's what raptors fan always do, love a player when he's doing goood, and hate him when he's bad. Jalen desereve alot better treatment from the raptors. i say they shoudn't trade him next year and keep him in their so called " Rebuliding process" hahahaha

Why should we like a player who didn't play hard? One of Toronto's fan favourites was JYD or Bonner, guys who just hustle. I agree that the Raptor's 'rebuilding process' is not going in the right direction. That we need to trade away our commodities and build for the future. I'd like to note that VC #15 was created today, and has only posted once. (here) My belief is that Raptor fans were totally justified in being annoyed at Vince and Jalen. They are paid about 15 million dollars, a monumental amount of money to earn a year let alone a lifetime. They didn't gave no effort during the first couple months, and made the Raptors lose many games.

That's why i think the raptors should not trade him next year.

Notice how they both didnt play well considering all their off court distractions?? Both guys were virtually linked to every trade rumor involving each other. Kinda hard to focus on your game when your future with your current team is uncertain. So youre saying that Jalen was the only one chucking up bad shots? Youve gotta be kidding. Vince Carter never put up any bad shots? What about Skip?? What about Lamond Murray?? And yes, we all know he isnt exactly Bruce Bowen on defense, but hey neither is VC or Skip.
^ Almost everyone had a love affair with Skip when the season began, though most have now seen the light. Vince was criticized more than Jalen, and he was traded, so that's a terrible example, and Lammond Murray has a very small role on the team, and I think everyone knows he's a chucker. One of the problems early in the year is that Sam Mitchell also didn't want Rose to do his post up thing, but that's Rose's main move. He was against it earlier, but let go and started allowing him to do it. Remember against Washinton when we did the post up thing with Vince, and he played great offensively, well that's how New Jersey uses him too a lot of times. I think Mitchell was part of Rose not doing well, it seemed like he wanted him to be more of a faceup guy which really isn't Rose's game. About FabFive's earlier comments, don't say "you guys" because I backed Jalen because after Vince left he was our only true go to guy. I don't like when people say you guys, say some of you guys, not everyone hated on Jalen.
