I hate to blame the refs but damn those 2 fouls called on Miller were B.S and the continuation being taken away really screwed them over. If it was Lebron, there would be no question of the stupid continuation. I hate the NBA

Well you had Michael Jordan on your team once, so don't hate the special treatment or NBA too much...

That's true. I guess we got what we deserve. Did they really have to tease us and take the basket away once it counted though? That basket changed the whole game around. Rose should be getting all-star treatment by now

i assume you're talking about the two fouls in a row? his 4th and 5th fouls? because the 4th was clearly a foul where miller very obviously grabbed shaq's arm.

Even after the replay it wasn't THAT clear that it was a foul but I understand why it would be. He was more pushing into him than grabbing if anything. The second one was clearly not a foul though

he was pushing into shaq and grabbed his opposite arm.

the 5th was not clearly not a foul. there was a lot of contact. but there is a lot of contact on any play with shaq in the post. it just wasn't clear that there was a foul from the angles shown, so i'm willing to say it was a bad call.

The better team clearly won. I'm surprised the Bulls won the game they did.

Shows how far away the Bulls are from contention.

I'll give VDN some credit. His players don't give up on him. I think he met the expectations for a guy who has never coached before. Probably exceeded them. Especially when you boss is physically attacking you.

Noah is looking great. Rose is a star. But, we've played this Cap Space game before. The first time it resulted in Mercer and EROB. The second time it resulted in Ben Wallace.

    Color me skeptical.

You have good reason to feel that way. I hope that the Bulls cleared cap space to sign a star and some nice role players, however, I would not put it past jr if they cleared cap space for the 2011 hard cap!

He is making a lot of money by paying for average teams. Fans come to the games! Buy merchandise, and support the team. So why should he pay out of his profits for a contender?

I am hoping I am wrong. I hope this summer works out right for the team and fans.

I think we should hit Reinsdorf where it hurts.

    Boycott the White Sox.

It has little to do with JR. Its just the whole Cap Space plan seemingly never works.

They are going to offer stud players the MAX, that's for sure. That's all they can do. The big ones will turn them down. Now stories are coming out that JJ will get the MAX from Atl and that he'd take it. Yikes.

Just like before. One time noone took it. The other Ben Wallace did (gulp).

The Sox fans will be doing that based on their play this year.

    Well, that may happen.

    JJ staying in Atlanta? Interesting.

Cap Space does work, it just doesn't make us a competitive team. It makes us profitable, and some fans insist on rooting for profits over wins (they buy tickets, shirts, etc.).

As long as it's so hugely profitable, there's no incentive for the owner to try to win playoff games.

I guess. The money that is spent is misspent though. Big contracts for Deng, Ben Wallace, Hinrich.

This year the highest paid guy on the team is Brad Miller. Last year it was Larry Hughes.

I know, I know, they are "expiring." But what's the point if at the end of these great Cap Space building projects you are left with overpaid Ron Mercers and Ben Wallaces?

It would be great if the Bulls were the top spending team, I agree. But the money that is spent is so misspent, I can't see how throwing more money at it would really help.

I mean, an overpaid Ben Gordon (based on his performance this year) would not have really helped matters.

The Bulls, and in particular Vinny Del Negro, got a lot of criticism throughout this year. Vinny Del Negro deserves to be able to come back after the two seasons that he had......no coach has had more adversity from a front office perspective and an injury perspective combined than VDN has had.

Do I agree with all of his decision making....no. But I do respect how he was able to get his teammate to commit to winning and for the most part playing unselfishly. The Bulls were a top team defensively and rebounding all season. That doesn't happen by accident. Derrick Rose went from a tentative college freshman to an elite NBA point guard in 2+ seasons. VDN deserves some credit for that.

He has been professional, hard working, and I honestly believe he has his players respect. Is he an elite coach in the NBA.....no.....but how many elite coaches would be elite coaches if there first two years as a head coach in the NBA was in the circus of a front office that is Chicago.

Much respect Vinny.....I hope your first coaching opportunity will not be your last.
