If you want some reading, check out LakersGround. Seeing those guys root HARD for the Blazers and screaming RIP CITY after we won is awesome.

Lets play give it a quote. What was Wes thinking when he saw Harden move and then jumped?

"Fuck Yeah this Bitch is ours!!!"

Joel's placement on defense is pristine. Can't drive, can't pass... can't shoot either.

That was a really pressure filled situation to come into and I think he did well.

maybe he was jumping up about the moving screen set on Batum? ;)

Or that he knew Harden would travel on that play anyway?

Harden should have just tucked the ball under his arm like a football and ran into the paint and belly flopped in the key, the refs probably would have sent his ass to the FT line.

Holy hell that was a great game last night! Even if we had lost the game, I would have been fine with the way we played it. That's the best game I've ever seen from LMA - the vast majority of his shots were great. He really looked to play around the basket. If he does that throughout the series then I really like our chances! I still think we have a LONG way to go (no series was won in the first game), but my two biggest concerns were put to rest last night.
With that said, I expect HOU to take away LMA's post-offense next game. They'll probably come with a hard double either the moment he gets the ball, or the moment he puts it on the floor. As long as we have a plan that creates an easy pass-out opportunity for him then hopefully we can get the ball moving for open shots. But hopefully they continue to single-cover him and he continues to pound the ball in the paint!
I suspected Lopez would have a hell of a time with Howard these first two games, and boy was that the case last night. But I'm really looking forward to seeing how that match-up evolves by Game 3/4. Lopez doesn't have good foot speed, but I think he's crafty enough to learn how to jam up Howard once he acclimates himself to the situation.

You are right on every point, Blue. You are more of a Batum fan than me. What did you think of him?

So I thought I would head over to Comcast's website to see some post game videos and ran into this doozy of a headline about Beverly:

No worries, the refs gave a 4:1 advantage of shit calls to Houston. It was nice that at least we got one in our favor.

Not only the position, but watch as Harden starts the shot...BOOM turn around, find Dwight and start to Box out for no Tip in/Rebound. Bromance with Joel Activated!
