Sorry, I was pretty disappointed with Kobe tonight, but I can only speak for the 2nd half. Raja Bell and the rest of the Suns played great defence on him down the stretch, and Kobe's habit of complaining and flailing his arms towards a referee if a call doesn't go his way is just ridiculous. There was at least 3-4 times IN THE SECOND HALF alone that Kobe should have gotten a tech. Oddly enough, he happened to actually get a tech when the cameras weren't on him. The most blatant times, the referees seem to just ignore him or let it go because he was Kobe Bryant. There was one instance where it looked like he hit the other referees arm in a fit of rage, but that might have just been the angle. Nevertheless, Raja did an excellent job on him. Perhaps the funniest part (if you can call it that) would be Kobe yelling "WHERE'S THE FUCKING FOUL?!?!" so loud that the TNT broadcast picked it up. I was impressed with Odom today, he really stepped up despite hobbling. Nash was off today but his teammates made up for it, and the Suns clearly deserved to win this series. The Lakers need to make some drastic changes. This current roster isn't going anywhere and signing another player for the MLE won't change anything. Furthermore, judging by the way we've wasted our MLE in the past 2 years, I wouldn't exactly trust whoever we bring in for it anyway. L.A needs a shakeup, and whether that means trading away everyone else except for Kobe to improve as a team, I think the management should go for it. At this rate, with this roster, I don't see the Lakers even making the playoffs next year. On another note, my prediction for the series came out correct.
god this is so depressing, oh man, i dont really know how to feel right now about the lakers. kobe said it himself "its been three years and we're still at ground zero". and it really says alot about where this team is headed, if our managers and owners and coach dont make some big moves then i dontr see the lakers going anywhere from the point they're at now except backwards. if we dont make those big changes, kobe's gonna be pissed and his play will be down, therefore no playoffs, because if kobe isnt on his game, no one is.
