If anything sinks us, it will be our shitty bench. We have arguably the best starting five in the league.

I'd sarcastically say, "Stay classy, Houston."

That implies someone there has class. And that'd be a lie.

Really? Not me. In the game yesterday Dallas' bench was much better than San Antonio.

    Vince Carter - 13 points, 6 boards, 2 assists
    Dajuan Blair - 10 points, 14 rebounds
    Devin Harris - 11 points, 2 assists

San Antonio's bench was very meh -

Ginobili - 6 points 1-8 shooting and 0-5 from three
    Patty -10 points, 2 assists, 2 boards
    Diaw - 9 points, 2 boards, 2 steals

Bonner didn't do shit. Belinelli didn't do shit. I think the Spurs bench looks very average. Obviously Ginobili can be a problem, but nobody else on that bench is really scary. I find Vince Carter, Devin Harris, and Blair to be much more formidable.

I have tried to take the high road this series. I have a soft spot for Houston because of Clyde and because they lost an elite team because of injuries (Yao, McGrady), too. Hell, in the mid-90s, I bought a "Clutch City" t-shirt, which I have to this day. They were the team I rooted for once the Blazers were eliminated. I've even taken grief in this forum for being non-homerish, complimenting Beverley, Harden (this last game when he finally showed up) and Howard.

Anyway, I thought emotions would have been too raw last night, so I went on to Clutchfansthis morning to make a post complimenting Houston, their fans and to say it was a tremendously even series that could have gone either way. When I logged in, this was what awaited me:

While I still respect the Rockets and their fans, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell the mods of Clutchfans to go fuck themselves, you thin-skinned, pansy-assed, salad-tossing goat-fuckers. You run the North Korea of basketball forums.

I like the ESPN announcer calling Dame "the guy with the big guts". LOL Yeah, 'guts', that's what we call it in polite company.

MM is a fan, never doubted that. He's just grumpy. Hopefully the Blazer success helps him revitalize his mood.
