Broken record? I just looked at the '89-'90 roster. Jordan averaged 33.6ppg. Next best was Pippen @16.5 then Horace at 13.5. Rose has more scoring support in Deng and Boozer, and the Bulls are paying a lot more for it. Though Rose as a PG out-assisted MJ 7.7apg to 6.3, that's closer than you might expect. You may find it eerily similar, but I don't. Rose has more scoring help and he needs it because, wonderful as Derrick is, he ain't no MJ. No shame there...nobody is.
Jordan didn't score 63 against the Celtics in round 1 that season, and the top TWO scorers you listed above averaged 50 pts combined, or the equivalent of 2x Rose or 12 more than Rose+Deng. If you want to look at assists, pick the season MJ played PG and came close to averaging a triple double, or take Rose and his sidekick's assists combined and compare to Jordan and Pip.
