Scola scored two or three times over Odom, big whoop.

His box score was very unimpressive. He didn't do much owning of Odom.

In fact, Odom's block on Scola was bigger than any play Scola had over Odom.

His impact, I think was big, until it fired Lamar up. I was impressed by Scola until Lamar woke up. After that, I think it became more even. The only thing that dragged Lamar down this game was his horrid offense. His rebounding was good and his play making was there.

Did anyone else notice the taunting by Odom towards Scola? I'm not sure where it occured but Scola started walking off and Odom kept mean mugging him. I think it was a few plays before the altercation that led up to the face to face argument. Again as you guys may have remembered, Scola was calmly walking off and Odom kept following him.

Yeah, Odom swatted the shit out of his shot.

It started getting chippy around there.

    Your point?

I've never seen Scola initiate anything with another player. He'll play hard, flop now and then, play physical defense at times, and I guess some players have a problem with that and they'll try to taunt him or throw cheap shots at him. This game is first time I ever saw him talk back to an opponent. And then, on the very next possession, Fisher decides to body check him to the floor.

All the taunting and mean mugging from Odom wasn't necessary which led up to all this. Seriously, Rockets are an aggresive and physical team. Why not just leave the words off the court and let the game do the talking? Why answer back with fouls and cheap shots? My point is that Odom started talking shit which led to everything that happened. Do you see guys like Battier go out there and start anything? I mean why can't everybody be like Battier and just mind their business and play basketball instead of playing talking shit.

Definitely, I was surprised to see him go back in Odom's face and say something back.

I don't know why some people care that much about trash talking. Let them trash talk, both teams. I don't want ticky tack technicals.

listen to these rockets guys, deke has sharp elbows? wat the hell are you talking about? your not even using knowledge of basketball to justify what your saying. sharp elbows!:biglaugh: that is funny! we won you lost, end of story, just like when you won the first game. thats just it you guys are just sounding ridiculous right now. because deke has 'sharp elbows' (whatever that means, lol) kobe should be penalized for being physical and using his elbows...what the fuck? you guys remind me of fundementalist christians, ie. fukin lunatics; your picking bits out of the game that suit your ridiculous argument, yet decide to ignore other facets of the game that dissprove your argument. everyone was physical tonite, so get the fuk over it, its a mans game, and they all look like men out there to me, so why do you want to make it a boys game? im astounded at some of the comments ive read from a few of the rockets fans here, and they are just posts with the intention of enciting argument, frustration and friction between members of the forum, its really annoying guys, grow up and realize its a tough game, played by tough guys and not played by sissy little panzies who complain when a foul isnt called or they get fouled hard, no laker player over did it in terms of physicality so i dont see any reason to complain. you should make your way over to australia and see how australian rules football is played, makes your fukin NFL players look like a bunch of ballarinas. and thats exactly the difference between todays game and you rockets fans here. get used to it, because lakers are going to be tough in every game.

lol the "chippyness" was one sided, Scola wasn't stirring up anything.

Same thing again later on, Odom and Walton start talking.

No, its just funny how some people talk about Mutombo's elbowing? I dont understand, I have never seen him intentionally elbowing someone? Maybe trying to secure a loose ball or something, but an intentional elbow? He has been known to elbow players like Lebron because he has bony elbows which are known to hurt players when he swings his arms in motion of securing the ball, not intentionally hurting anyone. Again, Mutombo has nothing to do with this conversation, I'm just responding back to someone that brought up Mutombo. And I think the Lakers need to be ready, because they need to realize that this is playoffs, where Rockets will play tough till the end.

I've never seen an off the glass pass like that in an important game, props to Kobe on that because it looked like he couldn't score otherwise. I was quite surprised by that one actually.

I've seen the slow-motion a bunch of times now, you can't even see a hit to Ron's throat.

Loved Pau's aggressiveness tonight and the fronting. That spin move was a beauty; using quickness is nice.
