I think he's German -- He doesn't look like he is from Ghana, anyway. Probably a good choice to opt for international football with them than Ze Germanz.

 

Findley really should of scored that... And Ghana almost go 2-0 up.

The funny thing is 2 brothers in this tournament. One plays for Germany and the other for Ghana. The one who plays for Ghana says he was treated badly in germany, so thats why he opted to join ghana instead.

It wasn't going to be easy, but they should have won this given how the two sides played. Ghana went up early and seemed to bunker down quite a bit, which was surprising. Their defense isn't good enough to handle the pressure, but our finishing just wasn't there today.

I like the substitution of Gomez in the start of stoppage time, but if he came in for Dempsey, we would have ended 2-2. Altidore needed to be in there to retain possession up top as he has all tournament.

 

Thats what happens when i start rooting for them... sigh

 

A solid tournament I'm proud of and a good match. The United States were beaten fairly by a team that also had to overcome the odds. I'm unhappy that the United States are gone, but happy for Africa that they have one nation left in this tournament. After all, this is their tournament.
