I hear you, but there's no reason not to give props to a guy that was clearly a big part of the win.

I don't think he has a bandwagon. Outlaw is generally the one who comes up most in trade ideas or "odd man out" discussions. He clearly has flaws, but even more clearly he offers some big benefits. Tonight, he was basically all benefit. Taking shots and knocking them down in the fourth quarter was great...it prevented the defense from focusing everything on Roy and allowed Roy to catch his breath a bit.

Outlaw is definitely one of the best reserves in the league.

Travis had a great run in for a while in the second half offensively, his best stretch of the season I'd say. But you can't say it was all good when his defensive lapses gave up 2 uncontested 3pters and another wide open look from behind the arc late in the game. It's the same story, he does something fantastic or makes a smart heady play, and then he has a mental lapse and gives the momentum away. It would be nice to expect him to get more consistent with fewer mistakes but in his 6th year that's highly unlikely.

he had two times in the fourth where he left barnes wide open in the corner for an easy three, much of the reason his +/- was only 3 for as great as he played.

+/- for a single game is pretty worthless. It was a tight game, the fact that Outlaw was "only" +3 in a game that Portland only won at the end is hardly noteworthy.

So Barnes being wide open was Outlaw's fault even though Roy was defending him?

actually i believe that he was TO's man, roy had to run out on him on one because no one else was making a move.

So Richardson being wide open at the end was Outlaw's fault as well? Thankfully Richardson missed the shot and LMA got the rebound.

    Make up your mind.

nope it wasn't his fault but it was fortunate he missed. fact is at that point barnes was hitting and if it was TO's man he needs to blanket him and know where he is. if travis makes a two but gives up three on the other end he's not being productive.

that's it for tonight though, glad we got the win and looked good.

I was really impressed with Roy's defense tonight. He does tons of things I never really noticed before. Absolutely becoming a bonafide superstar! :D
