    Two things:

    1) Rudy would never come back here. Ever. He hated it here. He hated the weather.

    2) Why would we want someone who obviously sand bagged it to get out of town? I think part of his problem was his back, but his attitude also changed as soon as Sergio was traded. We don't need that.

Claver is here, so he has a cuddle-buddy for those cold rainy nights. And two, our fucking bench. Even Rudy would be an improvement.

Rudy is just feeling all NBA-frisky because of his new vaginal mesh implant.

if you are saying that he would fit right in with a shitty bench...yeah..I likesd Rudy before he was injured, after that, he just did not have it.

There are any number of better options. Options that don't involve, pardon my French, coƱos.

Rudy and Sergio were besties. Is he friends with Claver?

Also, he wouldn't be an improvement if he had a bad attitude. You could have Michael Jordan on your bench, but if his attitude sucked he wouldn't be much better than Luke Babbitt.

    "in two or three years"

He'd be almost 30 at that point. I must have read a different article than ya'll.

I will give Rudy credit on three fronts.

    1) He did take a pay cut to come to the NBA

    2) When he realized he wasn't a great NBA player, he sandbagged his way out of the league

    3) If/when he does return, he doesn't have the rookie contract over his head, so he can get paid if somebody will pay him.

How much of his play was his back injury though? I agree that he sand bagged, I don't think there's any doubt about that, but I also think part of it was that back injury. He was a completely different player during his rookie season.

I liked Rudy a lot as a bench player, and he was never the same after Douchebag Ariza collared him on that breakaway. I remember watching the Gold Medal game in 2008 at the MGM Grand sportsbook in Vegas, and jumping in the air and yelling when he dunked over Howard. The guys next to our group were asking me what my deal was (they were Knick fans), and I said I am a Blazer fan, and we already knew Rudy was coming to PDX for the year. We had all been cheering for Team USA, yet I literally jumped up and yelled on that dunk. Problem is, Rudy is a string bean, and his body wasn't ever going to be able to hold up for a long and productive career.

I think it was probably 50% health and 50% mental. He moped a ton, but he never really had the lift after that injury from Ariza. Sad because he was extremely fun to watch during his rookie season.
