Yes, but you said he "sucked" at UCONN. That is why everyone is arguing with you.The statlines I showed you would not even suck for a Senior. Rudy was only a Sophomore, and put up some of the best All-Around numbers in the country. You cant say that he sucked at all. That's just rediculous. I dont care if he was supposed to be going 1st or 60th. It doesnt matter. You dont judge a players performance with a college team because of his potential. I think he did post very good sophomore numbers with UCONN anyway. I cant see how they could have been any better...

haha you have no way out buddy.Alright you want characteristics? How about huge athleticism, potential, talent, vertical leap, stealing, defending, driving, shooting, rebounding, passing, and scoring. There was probably nothing except ball handling that he wasnt good at. Just give up before you embarrass yourself anymore.

He was gone, you never saw him try and take over a game late..Passing? You gotta be shitting me..He's an average passer..Nothing more..And right now, he's not very good at creating shots for himself off the dribble..

He is a solid passer actually. An above average passer for a Forward. He averaged 2 apg last year, which I think is pretty good for a Forward..Yeah..And do you really expect a ton of leadership from a kid who was 19 or 20 last year? Give me a break..

Hey, what do ya know.. I actually agree with CB4's last few posts on this topic haha.

Rudy Gay is a special talent and he does many things well. I will, however, agree with kingjamez is that he is an average passer, and he's not great with creating his own shot off the dribble, especially with his questionable ball-handling skills.

But about taking over a game - He's young, real young. And he wasn't the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of games. In Calhoun's offense, he likes the PG to create for others. Marcus Williams ran everything at the end of games, and did it quite well. He wasn't about to change his offensive structure just to "prove to scouts that Rudy can take over a game."

He played on a team with veterans Marcus Williams, Rashad Anderson, Denham Brown, Josh Boone and Hilton Armstrong...Sure you can say 'why didn't he take over' well considering the Huskies won big in most of their games he never needed to step up and win games. In the tournament he put up 3 VERY good games going over 20 twice in his three tourny games... Sure he's no Dwyane Wade in clutch time...but come on...
